I hate to sound like an idiot, but do some bowlers, like Saqlain Mustaq of Sussex, bowl only googly's? He seems to have a leg spinners action but bowl only balls that come back into the right handed batsman .

You confusing Saqlain Mushtaq with Mushtaq Ahmed!! Saqlain Mushtaq is a off-spinner.

Anyways, Mustaq ahmed is a leg spinner. The googly which pitches on the off and turns into the batsman is bowled with the ball released from the back of the hand. I have heard that Mushtaq has one of the best googlies in the world, probably after S. Warne.

Danish is also developing to have one deadily one which comes back sharply.

I would rate Kaneria's googly better than the others. It has a beautiful loop to it.

lol, you're confusing Warnie's googly with his other deliveries. His googly is not impressive at all, especially not up against his top spinner, flipper and slider.

I remeber watching the Twenty20 cup in Pakistan, there was this offie who bowled with an action almost identical to a leggie's. He gripped the ball as an offie, and used his wrist to add drift to it. He wasn't that bad either, I only realised he was an offie when the commentator said he was.

Yep...his googly is probably one of his worst deliveries...

Whats the difference between flipper and top spinner I though they were same deliveries, different name.

the way i have to look at it , shahid afridi is the most dangerous spinner( i never saw warne bowl too much as only saw him bowling late in his carrer)

he has an ok leg spinner that turns a little not a lot though but the odd one can do hell. he can wrap up a fast one 80MPH plus to surprise u just like wot he did lara n plus it was a bouncer. lara had to duck for cover.

he has that most dangerous googly too and he also bowls it regularly so u would just wonder which ball is up next. and i have seen batsmen got confused off him so much. he gets a lot of wickets with his googly.

i my self am a leggie and i know quite a lot about leg break. i also can bowl googly but i have a few probs doin it as my wrist is not too flexible and cant release properly through the back of the hand. i even got some sort of strain one time. was not asked to do it again. but now i dont bowl it regularly . just once in a while so its ok noiw.

I find personally bowling googlys is easier than bowling leg spin!

I find that too, I get more spin on googlies than my leg breaks.
