So do I- one of my mates bats right and bowls left as well :clap

Now that's pretty unusual. The only person I know in international cricket who does that is M.Clarke.

There are quite a few right handed people who bat left handed, but yes, I think left handers who bat right are somewhat rare.

Of course not.One of my mates is a lefty who bats right handed.

My missus does everything left handed (except one thing...in which she is ambidextrous :D ) but she plays cricket, bat and bowl, right handed. Not that she's much good but she has a go.

Back on topic though, I think left handers look more elegant because of the shots more readily available to them. When you consider that the vast majority of bowlers in the world at all levels are RM, RMF, RFM or RF then the physics of the thing dictates that right handers are more likely to have the ball coming into the body which is usually dispatched through the on-side. Hooks, pulls, lofted on drives, leg glances, flicks through mid-wicket, Flintoff-esque heaves over wide long-on....shots most associated either with grafters or sloggers.

Lefties on the other hand (boom boom) tend to have the ball coming across them which gives them a bit more room outside off-stump which opens up the elegant strokes....cuts, cover drives, off-drives, straight drives....etc.
