Hello and goodevening chaps, and ladies.

I'm going to start playing for a local club again soon, after 5yrs away from the game.

Now I've had to dig through my cellar to find my old kit but its been through better days so i'll be ordering a new one.

I was usually buying my bats from Pakistan on visits or friends who would bring them over, seeming to stick to my heavy MB Maliks or elegant CA's, but I'm 26 now and not that energetic young lion I were then hah!.

I'm in search for a decent bat, i'm not too concerned about the price (being reasonable as i'm no Shane Watson) however my concern is the weight? it needs to be LIGHT, Ultra light, ridiculously light lol.

Don't get me wrong i'm not a scrawny bugger i'm 5'10 and around 15st of mainly muscle so it's not that I can't lift one, over the years my ego got the best of me and was duped into believing the heavier the better.

I'm looking for a light bat as my back isn't the best after years of deadlifting and other injuries i've picked up due to a spurt of bad luck with my health.

I can clear boundaries no problem as I TRY to play like my favourite player Afridi, it's just the straining process I want to try and avoid.

So please if anyone has any suggestions I would be more than grateful for that thank you.

Lol. Pretty sure If you've messed up your back deadlifting, you've been doing it wrong.

Lol you bunch of smartarses haha, no it's just when going extremely heavy I'm talking 260kg+ lifts you do strain it pretty heavily.

Still going back to my question any recommendations?

ok I have a bat in mind but what size bat do you usually use
