swing works with button 7 and 8 have some patience now can some 1 tell how to sweep the ball please

Yes it does work! I used my cordless logitech controller , you have to wait til your confidence is at max then hold down button 6 and hit button 1 2 or 3. be warned if you miss push the cancel run button so you dont get run out. i use the xbox 360 controller now and it is a lot nicer to play with, also all the menus are configured as if you are using a 360 controller i.e the buttons in the menus are colour coded for the xbox buttons.

I am having problems playing with xbox 360 controller (wireless) on pc (vista).

cannot play shots using left analog stick, works only with the right stick.
left and right bumpers don't work, have to use back and start buttons instead.
Left and right triggers dodn't work, couldn't play 'dance down the wicket' even in the nets.

the XBOX 360 demo works flawlessly with the same controller though.

no there are two kinds of sweeps slog sweep button 8 and normal sweep button 7 just push the stick left or right to choose reverse or sweep

could someone tell me what the Ps2 version of this game's control layout is so that i have an idea of what each number on my rumblepad and what it does :s
all i know are the def. shot, ground shot and the lob shot buttons

and i have to hold down 5 and 6 to come down the wicket and hit the ball

i have sussed most of the controls.. i have a logitech dual action.. but only thing i cant do is catch.. seems no matter what button i push it doesnt stop the meter.. works fine with mouse tho.

to catch push the button 1 its the action button like the same button you use for a standard shot

I used the profiler i could advance down the wicket, great i thought. Then i went to bowl and i cant bowl special yorkers. How u get around this? Seems u can only have one or the other
