Lou Vincent retires from all cricket

Lou Vincent, the former New Zealand batsman has retired from all cricket today. He was a very under-rated batsman but his strokeplay was very eye-catching. He finished with 1332 Test runs @34.15 and 2413 ODI runs @27.11. These numbers don't do justice to his batting talent but things may have been different had he not left international cricket so prematurely back in 2007 when he was batting really well.

He was one of my favourite players growing up. Like so many of our players he was a better player than his stats suggest, and he'll be missed.
