Low Power Computers

Hi, my name is Ankit and i have seen in this forum that many people cannot run the game on full detail.

Reasons could be:-
. Low memory,
. Lower MB Video Card,
. Old Drivers,
etc.

The possibility is there if someone knows little programming.

We can reduce the size of all the pictures in the game like faces, stadium buildings, trees, kits, crowds, benches, etc. and all the in-game pictures.

By doing this 40-50 MB RAM memory can be free which inturn can allow other details to be kept high.

FOR EXAMPLE:-

1 face file = 25 KB
we can reduce it to 15 KB

Like this we can do for the whole game.
But for this someone will have to make a little program which we can run on every computer which automatically opens and reduces the size of each and every file one after another.

I have done it with BLC99 manually reducing file sizes and got the result.

RESULT is obivious because its afterall computer files.

Can somebody understand my view. Please reply if it is possible.

That's an interesting suggestion but I think it will be too hard seeing that there aren't really separate files for each graphic unless you extract the main data file. My suggestion is to run the game on a lower graphic depth or just upgrade the video card for full detail. That option is, after all, provided for the gamers who have a powerful machine and a great graphics card.

hehhe didn't consider that. i'm still frustrated because i have to play this game on my laptop since my desktp has no graphic card just an onboard chipset...that's why all i think about these days is graphic cards....haha

If you've got the game then you'll know the minimum specs, they're on the back of the box.

i also have a pretty crappy comp and it works fine.

the required specs are also on the readme file i think and there's this nifty program that sorta compares your system to the minimum. i think its called cricket_Eazy.exe or something along those lines.
