Yeah i couldn't believe this. Surprised there hasn't been a thread on this either. Horrible act by this freak. Needs to spend life behind bars

It just brings forward the question - why does the Westgate not have protection? It is a disgusting act, but our incompetent state government has to come under fire for yet another indecision here. All major bridges have high railings to stop this from happening, Brooklyn, Sydney Harbour, the one in London, but not here. Not good enough!

What a dimwit Aussie. I cannot understand how these guys manage to have kids, or for that matter gets females to mate with. Sick.

Thats just sickening and disgusting. Some people nowadays....

So bad! i didn't even read the whole news article i felt so uneasy, cruelty to the top,he was no Human and had no heart and love for his kids

What on earth really, that's disgusting. What has the poor 4 year kid got to do with it? People shouldn't make babies if they aren't mature enough to take care of them.

If people made a thread everytime something heinous like this happens, we'd need a sub-forum for them.
Well that's theoretically the point of the Issues Forum.

It is a ridiculously low rail, I've seen tight corners with better protection. It is a shame that it has to be a child for the Government to stand up and take notice; Brumby made a backflip on this today, promising it to be "fastracked", rather than the end of 2010 that was planned; when so many people commit suicide from the bridge each year.

They should just build a tunnel underneath, that way they wouldn't need to make the limit 40 just because it is a bit windy.

On to this story, it is a really sickening act, the thing that got me even worse was the story in today's paper about a woman who was screaming at him that might have helped stop him putting his other children over the bridge as well.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge, in cases like this is obvious that its wrong to do and sickening but the guy probably has some kind of mental or psychological problem. Obviously im not backing up what he did but I wouldnt want to comment on a case without knowing the background to the case.
