Considering that KXIP are in red hot form and Delhi are the bottom holders, wont be surprised if KXIP deliver a thrashing and continue to keep their playoff hopes alive. And KXIP are playing at home this time.

Finally we are back in the match. Irfan gets two wickets in two balls, and that too of the well set Valthaty and Marsh. :D

1 big loss..3 consecutive wins..5 consecutive loss..3 consecutive wins. God knows what kind of team they are..good or bad :P
I guess Adam Gilchrist's leadership is something like this;).
Even for Deccan too, in the second season, one we qualified to semi finals, DC played just for the sake of timepass:p. In the third season, they were under pressure of winning 5 in a row for a SF spot, which they achieved:thumbs!

tweaking ████. This means KKR can now be out of the tournament if they lose 2 out of 2 and if Punjab win 2 out of 2

fried chickening ████. This means KKR can now be out of the tournament if they lose 2 out of 2 and if Punjab win 2 out of 2

If KKR win two out of two, they are on 18 points. If KXIP win 2 out of 2, they are on 16 points. So KKR will qualify for the playoffs. For Punjab to qualify, KKR has to lose one of their remaining two (or either one of MI or Chennai lose their remaining two games and their NRR falls to a level below Punjab) and Punjab should win their remaining two. For Punjab, just winning their remaining two games is not enough to qualify for the playoffs. They have to depend on the other results to qualify.

If KKR lose a match its a serious threat.

Also Yuvraj hinted that they are ready to take a team out of this IPL that could well be KKR

KKR have two tight matches. Pune and Mumbai (the Pune game is an away game and KKR will be playing against Saurav Ganguly who is going to get huge support when he plays against his hometown side). I wont be surprised if Pune pulls the plug under KKR. And if that happens, KKR will be under serious threat in their last league game against Mumbai (ie. if Punjab beat Bangalore and/or Deccan at Dharmasala in their last two games). If Punjab wins both their remaining games, KKR has to either win their remaining two or win at least one and make sure their NRR is far better than Punjab. Good thing for KKR is their last game is the last of the league.

For me, the 4th spot is now a battle between Kolkata and Punjab, with Pune being the dark horse. I dont see Chennai or Mumbai joining the 4th spot battle (considering that Chennai will face Kochi at home next game and Mumbai faces Rajasthan in a home game too).

Actions speak louder than words and i am pretty sure KKR will defeat PWI and Yuvi will pack his bag

You said this too during the India Pakistan semi finals. That India will pack bags as Pakistan's action will speak louder :p

Kochi too has a chance. A minute one though, they have to win their last one and hope KKR lose the last 2 and Punjab lose one out of 2.

Then the NRR will play the role

Another perspective :

What if the Mumbai Indians lose their remaining two matches and KXIP win their last two? I guess MI will be out of the IPL because

Firstly, their N.R.R is the lowest among the teams with 16 points (+0.245) and
Secondly, if they lose 2 out of 2, it is very much possible that their N.R.R falls below that of KXIP.

MI are going to face RR on May 20th and it will be a very interesting game as
they wouldn't want to take the Royals lightly considering their comprehensive defeat against RR the other day in Jaipur. On the other hand, Shane Warne would want to leave on a high winning the last game of his cricketing career.
So, its going to be an important game for both the teams.

Now, if MI lose to RR and KKR lose to Pune, it will give the KXIP boys a huge confidence that they would make it through to the playoffs.

Having said that, if KXIP lose tomorrow, it will be the end of the chapter for them.

So I guess, this entire week is going to be a decisive week of the IPL. Get ready for yet another week of upsets and surprising results.
