Melbourne Bitters 06/07 Team Thread

@ cric_craze: It is a one day match.

@Rickyp: That is whyyou study before the day of the exam :p.

lol probs a good idea, i slept like 14 hours last night, sooooooo good! we've got a game tomorrow boys, ill put up the thread now I think

Seeing as this is sorta a spam thread according to Mark, who played cricket today? (Saturday). I made 31 in Under16s and got stumped in the 2nd last over of the day, I guess the good side to it is I don't have to show up next week. The 2nd half of my 2nd grade game also lasted about 20 minutes so I got to catch the AFL Grand Final.

We got a game tomorrow ey boys? Carn lads, show some hussle! Let's make it 2 in 2.

I havent played cricket on Saturday yet, maybe because it is still just 1:00pm...

But, yes, I will play cricket this afternoon.

returning to training after about 6 months out of sport all together, I started again about 2 months ago but got injured again :p so im starting again for real this time.

:D ive just heard im wanted again in the indoor game :p and i believe i will accept the offer.

:mad But i wont be captain, the coaches son is, ahh well ill have a bat and a bowl over the winter to keep fit, thats all that im bothered about!

oooohhhhhh never play in teams where the coach has a son, i moved teams because the coaches son opened the batting and the bowling and captained and he was the biggest hack I had ever seen. At the end of the u/16 season he went for an average of 15.2 runs an over, to back up his batting average of 4.

Ive never played indoor cricket, although ive always wanted too, is it any good?

My coach has a son in the team. His really good though, he usually opened the batting with me and averaged 46 for the entire season at about 380 runs. Was quite unlucky not to win cricketer of the year.

It is one of the stupidest variations of a game you will get.

My school team got off to an interesting start, one of our stupid teachers told us it was indoor cricket, and we got about 10 people signed up. Upon realising it wasn't indoor cricket, we know have about 5 people on our squad. We are gonna be a force this year!

Yeah indoor cricket is class.

For crack last year i used one of them plastic bats, :P lemme tell you, i didnt score too many with it hahaha, we wer top of the league by 5 points as we drew a game as our tailender needed 3 off the last ball, skyed it and we finished with level scores :mad

And the coaches son is a good player so i have no worries, aslong as i bat at my favoured opening position in Indoor Cricket, ill be happy

I scored my highest score ever when I played indoor cricket a while back; 79! I normally open as a pinch-hitter because i'm pretty much useless with the bat when I don't pinch-hit. :p

My highest score in proper cricket came in a Twenty20 match; 61 made again by opening. It's nice to have a change from number 11 every once in a while. :p

:D in a limited over game, you know your gunna have a bat ;) thats all

Nah i love Indoor cricket, you cant pretty much go out and try to go for 6 every time, but then agen diving for the ball hurts alot more, and falling over also hurts, i dont know how our WicketKeeper does it with some of our bowlers putting the ball into the middle of next week

Pah, Wicketkeepers! Their only job is to catch the rip-snorting deliveries that I send down. :p

I've still not had any luck in breaking my record of 76.3mph though. :(
