Micromax vs Samsung - Would you go for Better Specs or Better Brand?

Hmm, Interestingly SII has scored better than Canvas HD in all the benchmarks even with two years old hardware. Let's wait for the release of Canvas HD, we'll get better picture then. About the specs, Canvas HD has better display and Quad Core processor (but since it uses cheap Mediatek chipset, it results in poor scores), otherwise both are fairly equal. I'll wait for it's reviews before making my final decision.

Micromax just posted on their official FB page that Canvas HD will feature Dual LED Flash, 2 MP Front Camera and Bluetooth 4.0. An update from their previous prototype unit. So if the price indeed stays below 15K as they announced, it's gonna be revolutionary mobile for Indian consumers

Yes and watch their gaming review too. Much better and smooth performance than Galaxy Grand.

They did a benchmark tests and Canvas HD surpassed Grand in all the tests except for Nenamark Test for obvious reason i.e Canvas HD having HD screen have to consume more power than that WVGA screen of Grand, still it shows fps of 40 which is not bad for 720x1280 screen. Biggest surprise was Antutu test where it scored more than double of Grand. Now I don't think there is a single feature in Grand which is better than that of Canvas HD except for video colours which again can overcome by using software decoding.

Build quality is good too so I am definitely going for it after I sell my old device.

PS: This device made a record by selling 3000 copies in the first 15 minutes it was released and became out of stock immediately. Micromax says it's record for highest number of copies they have sold in single day which is 9000.

Don't choose Blackberry, useless phones.

Better off going for a HTC. Unless you really want a keyboard, in which case I suggest Nokia phone

OK this is my poinnt of view after handling samsung SII S3&micromax canvas a110,canvas2,canvas HD-

First of ALL whether like it or not All canvas phones are mimics of galaxy s series....

Secondly Micromax has better specs but the phones fail to make an impact......

Samsunghas better build quality and their old hardware also performs better due to tweaking done by 'em..

Here are cons of samsung-
Battery life is awfully poor
Connectors OMG
Not much service support(I experienced in mumbai)

Micromax on the other hand Has gr8 value for money and gives everthing at very low price only the difference is touch sensitivity....

So to summarize there's a 19-20 difference in them

Micromax HD has good value for money and Delivers almost same as s2

Samsung s3 has high price but it is perfect phone to look out for...

It depends upon the budget that which phone to buy-
If you're willing to spend 20k+ samsung will be the best choice
If you're on a tight budget Micromax is inevitable.....
