Yeh, Johnson was massively over-rated. He was hyped up from the start by the show and by himself, mainly by himself. He never looked particularly good throughout the show and only got through as far as he did because the competition was pretty weak. Wilks didn't look much cop either though tbh, but has clearly put some serious work in, and looked excellent in the Finale.
I can't see either winners having long and fruitful UFC careers if I'm honest. Wilks may have a decent run but I can't see him getting into title contention. As for Pearson, he's going to need to put in some real work to get anywhere in the UFC. He seems to have the fire to make something out of himself, so we'll have to see. On current talent alone though, I don't really give Pearson much of a chance.
Fedor would hammer Lesnar. I'm not a Lesnar hater like alot of MMA fans though tbh. I think he's an entertaining dude to watch, and he's got some serious power. Did he deserve a title shot so early? Definitely not, but he won the title fair and square against Randy and performed well. I can see Mir beating him, and it'll be submission if he does win, but I'm not completely counting Brock out. If he's put some serious work in (which he will have done, rumour is he's done alot of work on his BJJ and more specifically his submission defence), then it'll be 1 hell of a fight. He was probably on top in the first Mir fight and was unlucky to get caught in a knee bar, probably due to inexperience, so it's going to be a class fight at 100.
GSP-Alves is the fight I'm looking forward to seeing most at 100. GSP's my favourite fighter in the UFC and he's got some serious skills, but Alves is going to be a seriously tough opponent. He's built like a LHW and is on the back of a 7 fight win streak, including that domination of Matt Hughes. I'm hoping that GSP wins, because then we'll get to see a dream fight most likely at a catchweight between GSP and Anderson Silva next year. Now THAT is a fight I'd pay to see.
