Modifiers (Particularly batting)

I read somewhere that peeps are playing games with batting mods turned off. I'm going to give it a go next time I play the game but in the meantime, could anyone explain how the batting gameplay iswithbatting mods off. Like....are all the batti g sliders set to maybe 0 or 100?

I've had two matches of T20. Same teams....same wicket conditions (as best as I can get them). Batted first match with batting mods and second without. And I don't see much difference batting gameplaywise between them! Ok......it may not be the most scientific test of sliders v non sliders. But my old eyes don't see much, if any, change.

Hmmmm.......I'm getting a rather uncomfortable feeling about this now. I just turned the box at the top of the batting modifiers list from yes to no. I'm thinking that it may be so obvious now that I've probably made a massive gaff.
You would need to alter the values listed below to see any change in gameplay.

Oh......I just presumed that clicking modifiers ON the game would play with the chosen modifier input and clicking modifiers OFF would play the game without inputting the modifier skills. I'm totally confused now.
Actually it's better to bat with modifiers OFF. It's a well known issue for a long time that if we put batting modifiers ON then some weird batting animations occuring. Everyone known this is a glitch. Awaiting for fix from Devs.

.

I'll give batting a go with modifier OFF for a couple of 50 over games. If it helps me score a few more runs that I usually score or ( more importantly to me) makes the whole batting experience more enjoyable, I'll be straight on here to thank you Kiran.

Credit where credit is due. I've just finished a most enjoyable 50 overs match with the batting modifiers OFF. The batting was much better. Shot animations were more realistic and were the strokes that I was trying to play with the right analogue stick. Some aberrations of stroke play were still evident but it was usually due to me not choosing the correct footwork......wrong shot choice....poor timing or usually in my case all three. Some of the shot timing indicators seemed odd. Late when I thought I played early and vice versa. Also all advance down the wicket shots seem to go in the air unless I press l and r triggers simultaneously (could be my poor timing though). More runs.....better batting strokes. Thanks to Kiran Varma for suggesting modifier OFF batting and to the games devs and testers for the best cricket game.............so far!!

Hey bro.... just got the game yesterday and I'm loving it... I bat using 'standard controls' and one of my biggest problems is with the 'shot selection'.. I have tried to sweep the ball to fine leg with a right handed batsman a lot of times but the player just pulls off some stunt and even though the ball might get to the boundary, it's less satisfying when it wasn't the shot you intended... do you think turning the modifier off would work well for 'standard controls' just like it did for your 'classic controls'????

Honestly you need to switch back to Classic control to get more control over your batting and shot selection. I'd recommend to turn batting modifier off with classic controls

Welcome to the board Sachin Kallis. Yeah....you gotta start batting with batting sliders OFF with classic controls selection. You will be able to play all the genuine batting strokes apart from the fine back foot leg glance. (You'll end up playing pull shots rather than glances). Have bowling sliders turned ON though.....I reckon bowling is more tuned with slider settings. Try a few 50 over matches with different game difficulty levels and find which one suits you for the way you like to play. And finally......enjoy.
