I've never seen him before, so I can't comment on him how fast he is. But neither can't other people who have never seen him.

If Cricinfo list him as Fast medium that would mean he isn't the fastest ever. Those guys would know what they are talking about. He might be able to crack the 150km/h but he can't possibly be as fast as Ahktar due to the fact cricinfo lists him as fast medium.

The Biography said he was fast but no that fast.
The fastest bowler who ever lived was either Shoab Athkar or Frank Tyson

Maybe we can continue with this thread. I for one remember seeing "Wasim Akram" bowling a delivery at 165 Kph(at Sharjah) and not just that it also looked fast and Akram yelled out some sort of cry maybe due to some pain in his hand but time period of the match was very boring and commentators were talking about how good a city Dubai is plus the camera was focussing on batsman's technique. Also the speedometer was shown only once for a half-second but I knew it was fast and Wasim unofficially is the fastest. Now hardly anyone would believe me here :cool: but its true

come on mate imran khan.i don't think their was a speed gun in those times.
i really don't think we can say one bowler to be the fastest ever because in
early days their were no speedguns.
also i have a personal view by watching the old matches during the times of bradman their were more medium bowlers as the wicketkeeper and slips were very close to the stumps.not to say that bradman was playing mediocore bowling like the current aussies batsman do .but i really have my doubts about comparing players from differnt era's be it a batsman or bowler

And Cricinfo isn't always right. Many 'unknown' FM are labeled Mediums, same way many 'unknown' Fast bowlers are FM (Mohammed Zahid for example).

it could be case of speedometer malfunction, that happens quite often.
