Moments of the decade

Channel 9 have just done their moments of the decade.

1. England Ashes 2005 win
2. Amazin' Adelaide - 2006
3. Warne 700th wicket - MCG 2006
4. Final frontier - India 2004
5. Steve Waugh's perfect day - SCG 2003

Australia's Series loss - India 2001
Adam Gilchrist - 57 ball ton - Perth 2006
Warne, McGrath and Langer's farewell - SCG 2007
Michael Clarke's 3 wickets - SCG 2008
SA become No.1 - 2009

I'd probably put the India 2001 series to number 2.

Hmm, Gilly's ton?

I don't agree. But apart from that it looks good

while watchin this in TV, 1st thing came to my mind was "biased"

only reason they picked ENG 05 win over Amazin' Adelaide, b/c they wanted to keep it balanced. to not to look to bias. but they said it was "close"

Obviously they are going to be biased, it's based in Australia to broadcast to Australia. In State of Origin it is exactly the same thing, Channel 9 has an extraordinary amount of bias towards NSW but you got to get used to it.

So, instead of complaining, why don't you say something that you think should have been on the list instead? And no, for your information, I don't think something like Bangladesh 4-1 ODI series win over Zimbabwe will be on the list.

Surely that was a great series win! A real significant moment in the decade!

Pakistan's T20 WC win after what has gone on in the country should have been a moment of the decade IMO.

From the worst of moments to the best in a matter of months.

For India:

1. Kolkatta test win against Aussies
2. Adelaide test win against Aussies
3. Perth test win against Aussies
4. 2004 series loss to Australia in India
5. Sehwags first tripple ton in Multan
6. T20 WC win
7. No. 1 Test ranking
8. WC 2003 campaign after loss against Aussies in round robin
9. Test series win in England
10. Natwest finals win

Notice no IPL as people outside India are more obsessed with it rather than at home.

....

idk why you had to go there. but if i were to pick 1, i wouldnt have picked that. because then it would biased.

not in any particular order

- Lara 400
- 1 of those Sehwag double/triple centuries (he got too many of those)
- 196* Charles Coventry
- Ajantha Mendis
- Irfan Pathan Hat-trick 1st over
- RSA bowled out India for 79
- Australia and their WC final's performence 03/07
- Gibbs 6s/ UV 6s
- Aus/RSA 5th ODI

these are just off top of my head. i cant think of any more. but i am sure i can come up with some more if i put thought into it.

and if i had to pick Bangladesh moments, then i wont have to pick 4-1 Zim series. i sure there are some very good moments.

- Ashraful 100 on Debut v Sri Lanka.
youngest test centurion. youngest debutant test centurion.
- Md Rafique 100th wicket, on his only 37th and final test.
- Multan test
- Test v Australia

there are many more, but i am gonna stop right here. because i am pretty sure you wont think of them as a "great moment", as much as i would. then again i dont really care about Waugh having a perfect day either. or consider Clake's 3 wickets on top 10.

but if you want me to post somre more then i will :)

Surely Bangladesh's win over Australia in 2005 ranks rather highly?

I never said anything about ranks. I clearly explained, it's just a matter off opinion. and even in my opinion, did i mention anything about that match on my top 10 list? No.. so i dont know where you trying to go with that. And i am not even sure which part of my post you meant to reply to.

IMO it should be young indian team winning VB Series in australia against full australian side after all that happend
