Most runs in a season (individual) Records

Well I'm sure I'm not the first, and not the greatest, but I just had a great season with Graeme Smith (Proteas Skipper) in which he got 2029 runs. I'm sure someone has beaten it here, but would like to know what you all have gotten in a county season.

i had a great season with ricky ponting in 2008,id be suprised if someone has got past 3000 runs
