Going to split this up into positives and negatives.
Positives:
- 360 shot selection. You're able to find the gaps and such which is cool.
- Large squads and the planetcricket player editor allows for full customization.
- Graphics look quite decent but my graphics card isn't good enough to see their full beauty.
- Online play was playable even with a little bit of lag. I don't have an amazingly fast internet connection (only 512k ADSL) so I'm not complaining.
Negatives:
- Online disconnections. I was 7 overs into the second innings of what was turning out to be a cracking 10 over game and it crashed.
- Batting is incredibly easy. Bowling is almost useless. Choosing where to bowl does nothing but choose which area of the crowd has a 6 hit into it. I like the batting engine as it is fluid but it's too darn easy.
- Gamepad controls don't function too well. Can't advance down the pitch. Can't swing the ball.
- Wicket keepers are of an under 12s standard.
- Bowling is just random. There is no sense of 'bowl consistently just outside off and you will be rewarded'
- Can't save online games.
- Computer batsman bat like it's a 20/20 game...even in tests. They are also shocking runners between wickets.
- Bowling order AI is random. Best bowlers bowl first, regardless of being a spinner or not.
