Not sure how many people here are fans of NFS, but thought I'd make the thread anyway.

IMO there hasn't been a good NFS game since Most Wanted, but this just look awesome. I think it's already out in the US, and it's out on Friday (19th Nov) in NZ/Aus. Really can't wait for it. Here's a E3 Reveal Trailer:

That has to be one of the best trailers I've seen for a game. Some of the featured cars are pretty exotic metal. Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Pagani. Wow.

Couldn't they be more creative with the title? There's already a NFS game called Hot Pursuit, I own it.

Was that hot pursuit one the one that's like 10 years old? I remember playing that. I think they chose the same name to show it's like a reboot of the series back to its roots. I used to play it whenever I went to my friend's house, was really fun

Yes. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was such a good game. Most Wanted was great but not really any of the NFS games have been that great since then. But yes, this game looks really good and I hope it's a lot better than the last few games.

There was actually a Hot Pursuit II as well. They really were the best titles along with High Stakes IMO.

I wouldn't buy it based on that trailer. It was nothing but CGI, I doubt the gameplay is close.

CGI is computer generated imagery, like all the cut scenes in video games where the graphics are notably better.

I guess those graphics are just damn good then if the 1st video is gameplay. Always loved the NFS games, haven't played one in years so might give this a rent when it comes out.

I would take it just for the cars. I would wait for it to get cheap though, I'm in no hurry.. Not sure my computer would be able to handle such graphics. (This game makes me wish I had a console).

always nice having a console to fall back on. I try to game on my old PC as much as possible but for the newers hits I can always fall back on my ps3.

Love HP2 and High Stakes, HP2 is like wrestling with Police. MW is bad and wrestling is poor.
