Dear Friends,

Twenty20 cricket is now recognised as a separate format in itself in cricket and is recognised through worldcups held once in two years and through T20 tournaments throughout the year. However, there has been lot of discontent and debate over the use of Duckworth-Lewis rule for T20 cricket. I have attepted to look at the rain rule from a slightly offbeat perspective and the result is the calculator you may find on my webpage.

I will be happy if cricket enthusiasts in the forum may evaluate the performance of the new rain rule via the calculator (instructions may be seen below on the webpage) and give your vaulable comments.

Thanks,

A cricket fan

I'm stumped as to how it's any more simple, to be honest, than the standard Duckworth/Lewis method, other than that it's optimized for T20 cricket.

nice CV bud. had a look at that to see if i might understand your proposal. it looks good so i didn't bother after that

See the link above for a comparative study of three rain rules targeted at T20. Your comments are welcome. The Kleiber targets are calculated using the spreadsheet in the link which works well, although some members have expressed concern that the app is not working.;)
