I've been playing cricket for almost a year now, I'm a Right Arm Leg-Spin bowler who now mostly wicket-keeps, I'm okay and bowling pace and spin and I'm also good behind the stumps with 1 run-out, 1 catch and a stumping. But my batting is really bad. My highest score is 6 and an average of around 0. I know some basic tips like watch the ball onto the bat and lean into the shot and other minor stuff. Any other tips and hints to get me going with the bat.

P.S I'm only 13

If you're really struggling to get anywhere at all, focus on Adam Gilchrist's simple mantra "just hit the ball". The finer parts of technique are a huge waste if you don't have any shots or defence in the first place. Concentrate on being in a steady, balanced position when you play a shot and swing the bat as it feels natural to.
