So what are our star auctions plans? :p
Well, if you're cool with it, I think the four on the index page - Goodwin, Misbah, Khurram and Tambe. Obviously we'll only get three of those four; or maybe other players. Who knows?

We should obviously spend our entire budget on Brian Lara, as that tactically is the best thing to do

Seriously, that seems like the best plan: Goodwin played for Sussex for many years so must be good, and you have to bid for Khurram Khan if he's available!

Also, I've done us some official apparel. It's not great, but ne'er mind.

IN BIGGER NEWS:

818297.html

Misbah-ul-Haq, arguably the biggest star from Pool B has been sold to the Nine Dragons for $40,000. All the six participating teams showed interesting in signing the Pakistani Test skipper before being outbid by the Dragons.

Murray Goodwin, the former Zimbabwean batsman is next on the list with a reserve price of $15,000.

We spent a lot of money to sign a player still at the peak of his powers, which was particularly valuable given that we missed out on Tambe earlier on.

Unfortunately, Goodwin too is going for silly money, so we may have to hold on a bit and wait until the other teams have spent their money before signing a second and/or third star player

The Nine Dragons bought Khurram Khan as their second star player. He seems to be quite a bargain buy at $20,000 for a man who continued to play a high standard of ODI and first-class cricket well into his forties.

The bidding may start for Trent Johnston, whose reserve price is set at $15,000.

We have our second star player! Khurram Khan and Misbah ul-Haq were two players we targeted before the auction started, and it's great to have them both on board. We may stick with these two, although it's also possible that we might sneak in a bargain bid on a high-profile player.

We are delighted to announce our third and final star player!

For the most incredible bargain price of v$18,000, we have secured the services of World Cup winner, double World Twenty20 veteran, IPL, BBL and CPL star - the Chinaman, Brad Hogg!

Matt has been kind enough to make snazzy user bars for us all. I think ours is rather nice, too.
