no saves

I have been playing don bradman 14 now for a few years mostly in windows 10 and was always a bit buggy but playable , 2 months ago changed my pc (upgrade) still windows 10 , so had to reinstall the game which turned out good as no more freezes or crashing , in fact plays well but for one thing and a pretty big thing game will not save, when i try to save all i get are scanning but nothing saved, looking at my files for the game , no saves listed, dont know what the problem is, has any body else had this, suppose it is a given that there is no autosaving on dbc14!

deleted game and reinstalled into a different file , but same problem, although game says when i try to save, error cannot save, looks like goodbye to dbc 14, may go for another cricket game but i think all the best ones are made by big ant and are on steam who charge a arm and leg for most cricket games, anybody know a cheaper alternative to steam please?
