I suppose I should have removed the dates, direct copy + paste from baggygreen.com. (yeah, so I'm lazy :o)

UPDATE: 10 OVERS

Australia 57/1

Hayden 21* (29)
Ponting 2* (2)
Gilchrist 30 (30)

Australia got off to a slow start, with only about 20 runs off the first 5 or 6 overs, however Gilchrist and Hayden managed to lift the run rate substantially until Gilly was dismissed lbw to Fernando for 30 with the score at 44. Sri Lanka introduced the first of their spinners, Dharmasena, after just 9 overs in an effort to stem the flow of runs, however it remains to be seen if this ploy will be effective. A pretty reasonable start from both teams, the Aussies will be looking to boost the run rate even further while the field restrictions remain in place and still conserve wickets for the later overs.

Thanks :), but it's nothing spectacular- I just took advantage of the bad balls (the ones I picked up early, anyway) and took singles out to the CPU's beloved long off.

UPDATE: 15 OVERS
Australia 1/86
Hayden 39*(45)
Ponting 8*(16)

Vaas 8-0-48/0
Fernando 4-0-28/1
Dharmasena 3-0-8/0

Dharmasena restricted the Aussies to just 8 runs of his 3 overs, however some wayward bowling from Vaas and strong hitting from Hayden allowed them to get the score up to 86 of the first 15. Both batsman had some luck early in this period, with Dharmasena having them both dropped off his bowling, however they have made the most of it and Hayden in particular will be looking to kick on to a big score.

I find that Im advancing alot using sams exe.

I only stay back against spin in order to not get stumped.

UPDATE: 25 OVERS

Australia 142/2

Ponting 42*(46)
Martyn 6*(16)
Hayden 50(59)
Gilchrist 30(30)

Vaas 10-0-45/0
Fernando 8-0-2/49
Dharmasena 7-0-0/35

Another good period for Australia with 56 runs added for Hayden's wicket, caught trying to hit over cover for a well made 50. Ponting looked to up the tempo throughout and is approaching his half century, which should be converted to something bigger. The Australian batsmen also broke the shackles from Dharmasenas bowling, with 27 runs added from his last 4 overs. Sri Lanka will be looking to their spinners to stop the scoring, however a big total looks on the cards for Australia.

UPDATE: 30 OVERS

Australia 171/2

Ponting 52*(62)
Martyn 22*(31)
Hayden 50(59)
Gilchrist 30(30)

Vaas 10-0-45/0
Fernando 10-0-2/60
Dharmasena 10-0-0/51

Australia are well on top and look positioned to have a real go at the end of the innings. Ponting is in dominant form, and Martyn is playing well after a scratchy start. The telling point of the innings will be if the Aussies can get on top of Muralitharan and Jayasuria while conserving wickets for the last 10 overs.

I've got training in about an hour, I'll probably finish the innings off tonight.

UPDATE: 40 OVERS

Australia 223/5

Lehmann 15*(22)
Bevan 6*(12)
Symonds 14(13)
Ponting 58(67)
Martyn 30(41)
Hayden 50(59)
Gilchrist 30(30)

Vaas 10-0-45/0
Fernando 10-0-2/60
Dharmasena 10-0-0/51
Jayasuriya 5-0-1/23
Muralitharan 4-0-2/22
Chandana 1-0-0/6

The Sri Lankan spinners hit back in this session, getting Ponting and Martyn out in quick succession and Symonds quickly. Lehmann and Bevan, the last two recognised batsmen are at the crease and will look to open up and utilise the full Australian batting lineup, however another couple of quick wickets could have a drastic effect on the total that will be posted.

END OF INNINGS

Australia 293/8

Ponting 58(67)
Hayden 50(59)
Lehmann 33*(44)
Gilchrist 30(30)
Martyn 30(41)
Lee 29(19)
Bevan 21(31)
Symonds 14(13)
Gillespie 2*(1)
Hogg 0(1)

Vaas 10-0-45/0
Fernando 10-0-2/60
Dharmasena 10-0-0/51
Jayasuriya 10-0-2/58
Muralitharan 5-0-2/30
Chandana 5-0-2/30

A good final ten overs for Australia, adding 70 runs and setting up a competitive total. The top order batsmen got the innings off to a great start, however the entire team contributed (Except for Hoggy :) ) with only 1 batsman not making it to double figures. A very even performance, with Hayden and Ponting the stars, along with useful contributions from Lee and Lehmann at the end to push the total over 290. From the Sri Lankan point of view, Murali and Chandana were the standouts, however it was not a great performance by them and they will be looking to improve on it with the bat.

Should be an exciting run chase, good luck Kay:)
The savegame is attached, you'll need to swap the teams and the controller.
