ODIs are still alive

To be honest, I was not interested in that ODI after McCullum got out. All the momentum they had dried up within 5 overs of his wicket and the rest of the team were then destined to follow suit. The 3rd Test in the West Indies was more alive with Australia leading by 400+. Good ad for Test cricket, I guess.

the IPL has revived ODI's in my opninon. Batsmen were starting to treat ODI's like Tests but now they are batting alot more aggressively.

Haha. You're kidding right ?

The average scores have been going up massively in the past few years, 280 is now par score I think, a team is generally disappointed if they fail to reach 280. The IPL has done nothing to "revive" the ODi game, as it wasn't in jeopardy anyway. The IPL has had very little or no effect on the ODi game.

Twenty20 cricket has existed for some time now and while that has altered some methods of thinking, I wouldn't say that the IPL has had any carry-on effect on world cricket in the last couple of months. In fact, I feel much of the IPL was spent back-tracking over concepts that were already in use in other T20 competitions.
