St Kilda has announced today that coach Ross Lyon, has signed a 1 year extension to his contract which means he'll stay at the Saints till 2012.
''It's was crucial for me to stay as i'm trying to build a championship winning side here'' said Lyon. Who was visibly delighted to sign the extension, he also said he was ready to challenge the big boys in the AFL such as Geelong. 2009looks like it will be a long hard year, but their ready to do it. Captain Nick Riewoldt in his first full season in charge is relieved that his boss is staying after a good season last. '' Glad Ross is staying, will do us well next year, This season we're looking for constiency in the big games.'' '' We need to step up as a team and build an unit for as to challenge for the Premiership, last season was a good season but we were not prepared to go all the way.''
