I'm starting a new career of :pak: Pakistan Cricket Team in Cricket Captain 2025. I think it will be good if I share my progress. Not sure how long can I go. We'll see.

The career will be starting from April-May 2025. Some of the fixtures might be different in game than real life cause PCB moves like the flash with its changes. I don't even wanna know what changes they made in domestic cricket.

Anyways. Here are some objectives I have in mind with regards to Pakistan Cricket going forward.

1. Qualify Pakistan for World Test Championship Finals.
2. Win ODI or T20I World Cup.
3. Find and polish some spin and pace all rounders for One Day Cricket.
4. Make Babar Azam the GOAT batter for Pakistan.
5. Turn Naseem Shah into an All Rounder.
6. Have Khurram Shahzad reach no. 1 in ICC Test Bowling Rankings.

I may add more objectives going forward. Open to suggestions also.

End Notes: It was a good win. Bangladesh had us in the first 20 overs but a magnificent partnership between Salman and Rizwan saved the innings. Naseem will also be mostly batting at no. 7 from now on. He won't be good now but hopefully he will learn. He is right now practicing general batting technique. Who knows he might get a promotion later.

End Notes: Salman in the 1st game and now Rauf with a fifer in the 2nd. He really did cleaned up the tail well. A much more comfortable win this time thanks to bowlers and later on Saim and Babar. Dahani was dropped for Rauf as the game was in Lahore and I predicted that he would do well at his home ground (which he did!). Now that the series is in our name. For the last dead rubber match I can have some more debutants.

End Notes:

First of all what the F! Hasan Nawaz Hattrick!? Gave him his 1st over in his debut game and he picked up a hatrtick. 4-10 are his figures with the ball and he doesn't even bowl.

On to the match. It was the most comfortable win in the series. Fakhar and Babar scored big hundreds and to be honest put the game to rest then. Haseeb got his debut game and he did alright alongside Hasan Nawaz with the bat.

Plenty of positives from this series. There are some other guys that will be inducted soon. A couple of seniors may have to make way. From here on the focus mostly will be on T20Is, given that Asia Cup is looming.

Oh and Rizwan rested to make room for Hasan Nawaz. While Salman acted as the captain.

Hope to see more of fringe players like Minhas and Muqeem. Would have liked to see Jahandad Khan or Aamer jamal over Faheem in that regard

Faheem is seen as decent option in T20s now. But those players will get their chances someday.

Match Notes:

A disappointing end. Bangladesh went on and got to a flyer. Until the likes of Shaheen, Hasan and Rauf opened up the game. Rauf even took a hattrick, but it was not enough.

The bowlers I thought did a good job. 165 on this wicket was chase-able. But the new batting order didn't executed well enough. They got starts but couldn't carry on. Spinners were rather expensive. I'm hoping Fakhar transitions into middle order, as a no. 6. As Pakistan need a player at that position who can deliver.

Need to move on now. Next 2 games are effectively must win.

Match Notes:

While this looks a thriller, it wasn't. The bowlers once again did their job. Hasan Ali was magnificent with the new ball, picking up 3 wickets. It was at the back end where he got a bit of tapping. Shaheen again was spot on. Great figures.

Rauf had a niggle so Faheem came in his place. I used this opportunity to bring in Muqeem in place of Shadab to strengthen the bowling since Faheem is ok at 7 with the bat.

Openers once again got out cheaply. Babar Azam had to carry the ship. He played an anchor role while Hasan Nawaz showed his prowess with the bat. In the end Fakhar, Faheem and Shaheen got Pakistan home safely.

Next is the decider game!

Another home series win!

Rauf was technically fit enough to play but given the importance of this game and the way the bowling unit performed in the last game, i decided to stick with the same bowling. Only change was Saim in place of Farhan. As Farhan's batting didn't showed the confidence and I knew Saim has to play this one.

The batting was alright. At one point we looked set to get 180 but again lost our way a bit. The captain Salman again took too long and got out. Something has to change. He has to perform. Otherwise we perhaps can't have both Babar and Salman in the XI.

The spinners apart from Muqeem were exceptional. Salman in particular coming into the game in the later part was the key to win us the game comfortably at the end.

The pitches I think need to be little better. Will have a word with the curator for the upcoming home series.

:pak: Pakistan vs :ban: Bangladesh - 3 Match T20Is (Home) - May 2025 - Pakistan won the series by 2-1

15-Member Squad

1st T20I - 21 May 2025 - Rawalpindi (Home) - Bangladesh won by 43 runs
2nd T20I - 23 May 2025 - Lahore (Home) - Pakistan won by 4 wickets
3rd T20I - 25 May 2025 - Karachi (Home) - Pakistan won by 14 runs

Key Findings:
- Babar Azam was the top scorer for Pakistan. 105 runs (Average 35 and Strike Rate 116).
- Hasan Ali was the top wicket taker for Pakistan. 7 wickets (Average 15 and Strike Rate 9).
- Haris Rauf took a Hattrick in the 1st game.
- Spinners apart from Salman Agha were expensive and so was Hasan Ali.
- The pitches at home needs to be more batting friendly for this format.
- Babar and Salman need to pick up pace, otherwise one or both might be left out of the side.
- Saim Ayub is proving to be the go to opener when it comes to white ball.
- Fakhar at no 6 and other batters are finding it difficult to adjust to their new role. Maybe more time needs to be allotted before their performances are assessed critically.
- Hasan Nawaz is settling in well as a middle order batter in white ball format.
