Guys, I seriously suggest picking bowlers, most teams squads look weak in the bowling department, For the next round. Read the article below that I wrote, may help in what is needed for your team.

As the team picking drew to a close, Karachi Killers are believed to have gained some great talent in their squad for the tournaments first season.

They definitely look like a very strong side on paper, but will they be able to perform in the tournament is the question.

The batting department is filled with class and power, the ideal recipe for success in this format. With the likes of Azhar Ali and Mohammed Yousuf's

finesse, mixed with the class of Micheal Hussey and draw in the brutal power of Shane Watson provide the batting with enough power to take the

opposition's bowling apart. Let's not forget the experience of Ricky Ponting in international cricket or the class of Pujara, that he has displayed time

and time again in the Ranji Trophy. Karachi Killers team also contain the captain if the under-19's Pakistan team Babar Azam and the domestic

experience of Rizwan Bhatti

The bowling section is fairly weak for the Karachi Killer, in my opinion, with the exception of Morne Morkel and Shane Watson, the team lack

experience in this department. However the young spice of Junaid khan, and the fire power of Wahab Raiz might help them. They have Kashif bhatti,

who has been a large part of the domestic circuit in Pakistan for the best part of a decade.

But the question stands, will the Karachi Killers batting be enough for what they lack in the bowling?

101283d1351332548-ahmad-studios-clt20-stumps- released-rawal.png

Not the strongest team on paper, as there batting seems brittle for the class they carry. The batting might struggle against the class of the

oppositions bowling, However, they carry players like Ahmed Shehzad, who carry a lot of energy in the batting and bowling. With the international

experience of quite a few player, may make up for the batting department. The class of Shiv Chanderpaul, who has been a massive reason in the

increase in racking for the West Indies, might have to play a crucial role for the Rawalpindi Royals. With the captain of Australia, Micheal Clarke, in

the side the may be another advantage for the Rawalpindi Royals. However, at the end of the innings the team don't need to worry about a quality

finish, with the brutal power of Mahendra "Helicopter" Singh Dhoni and Kamran Akmal. Both can change the course of the game in a few overs. How

ever the question stands whether they get the start to provde a decent finish too.

The Bowling department seems scarce at best, with only a few genuine bowlers. However, lets not take anything anything away from it. With the

young energy of Zia ul Haq, fresh from a successful under-19's World Cup campaign, and the experience contender Rana Naved who is famous for

his famous back hand slower ball. A few overs will probably be bowled by Jean -Paul Duminy. Lets not forget, the reason of Bangladesh recent

success, the former captain, Shakib al Hasan, will provide a lot with the ball and hopefully (for Rawalpindi Royals) with the bat.

But one question in mind from the Rawalpindi Royals fans will be whether there team can cope with the class that other teams provide? Will Dhoni be
taking the gloves or will Kamran be behind the stumps?

A very good selection of players have been chosen by the Manager of Sailkot Scorpions. At even a quick glance, there side looks very strong in both

departments.

The batting appears very complete, with the fiery power of two Imran's at the top. Followed by the legend or as some may call god himself, Sachin

Tendulkar. Been a massive part of the game of over two decades and completing the Indian team in all aspects. He provides the team with valuable

experience, class and a great player to have in the dressing room to increase the moral of the players. The Englishman, Jonathon Trott, has also

been roped in to the side. A good addition and a very strong player to anchor the innings, but this beckons the question, why have both Sachin and

Trott, when they carry the same role in the team? The bangladeshi opener, Tamim Iqbal, who has recently had a very successful World Cup

campaign and a great Sri-Lankan premier League. The manager has also dragged in Mandeep Singh from India, yet to make an international

appearance but will be great experience for the future.

The bowling appears to be the strongest yet in all the teams, I have inspected. With the experience and un-orthodox action, Sohail Tanvir will be the

key for the Sailkot Scorpions. He has just had a very successful Champions League, dragging his team to the final. The pure brutal pace of

Mohammed Sami has been included in the team. He has been very inconsistent in the Pakistani team, but has a lot of experience in the domestic

circuit. The master of swing Anwar Ali, makes an appearance in the squad. Known for his banana swing, he may seriously trouble the batsmen. With

the lone hand of Yasir Shah's spin in the Sailkot Scorpions bank, the provide a sense of uncertainty for the batsmen, but this beckons the question

why only one spinner in the team?

101281d1351332524-ahmad-studios-clt20-stumps- released-multan.png

The Multan Mahals are managed by a young and fearless manager. Having bought the likes of Chris Gayle,Micheal Lumb and Kevin O'Brien from

overseas, they definitely don't lack any power. Lets not forget the power from the home turf, Shahid Khan Afridi. Need I say more, provides a great

finisher to give his team a burst of runs at the end, if he was to fire. We have recently noticed that he is struggling to find form. The class of

Mohammed Hafeez, the T20 captain, of Pakistan has also been roped in to the side. The experience of Younis Khan in the middle order might be

there secret to the recipe of success, there to provide stability and finesse. The manager has definitely not been hasty in bringing in Usman Khawaja

from the suburbs of New South Wales, Australia. Said to have the class of Ricky Ponting, that will surely be seen in this tournament, if he would be

given a game. Baring in mind the class and experience, and the cap of maximum of 5 overseas player in the line-up, he may find it hard to break in

to the line-up.

With the most variety in the bowling attack, Multan will always have someone to go to in all situation of the tournament. Lets start by the main attack,

Stuart Broad, the iconic image of a bowler, tall bold and quick. Hitting the deck hard has always been his speciality, but to swing the ball, the Multan

Mahals have gone for James Anderson. Could certainly be a handful in Pakistani conditions. The spinners for the team don't need any introduction

at all, the economically Mohammed Hafeez and the speedy "leg-spinner" Afridi. The overseas talent of George Dockrell might be used to exploit the

batting of the opposition. Multan also have a player that has been in the Pakistani squad for god knowns how long, Abdur Rehman, this might just be

the tournament for him to shine and make it past Saeed Ajmal in to the playing 11 for Pakistan

The only critism is that, with all the class and power, it may be hard to pick the perfect 11 for the game.

101280d1351332524-ahmad-studios-clt20-stumps- released-lahore2.png

With probably the most experienced manager, Lahore Lions certainly have an advantage there. Having the manager's experience has certainly come

out as he picked a tactical perfect team on paper. The class of Mahela and Sangakkara will provide great experience and help to the team. With there

brother like friendship will definitely motor the team forward in to the tournament. The addition of Yasir Hameed in the squad has been a great

inclusion as he is hard hitting batsmen. The manager has extracted players like Shahid Yousuf from the domestic circuit and in to his team. The

former captain, Shoaib Malik has also been put in to the squad. Recently struggling with form, but will be an assets on the feild and in the dressing

room. The Pakistani test opener, Taufeeq Umer, in the squad has caused a few stirs as he may not be the ideal play for the format, but the

tournament is yet to start and making judgements this early is wrong. The all-round experience of Abdul Razzaq can not be over seen, with his calm

composed technique at the end of the innings.

The bowling department for Lahore Lions is massive, with great variety in all aspects. With the Pakistani, Umar Gul, known for the deathly yorkers

and the World Number One, Saeed Ajmal. Perfect bowler and will be a great bowler in the middle overs. Another death-end bowler, Lasith Malinga in

the team the opposition finishers are really likely to struggle. Dirk Nannes from Netherlands and Australia, will provide some serious pace for the

team. Another player pulled out out of the domestic's is Mohammed Talha. Little is known about this player but his track record seems impressive,

so I await to see how he preforms in the tournament. Yasir Arafat, known for playing practically every domestic tournament around the world, with

his experience will be another asset for Lahore Lions

The question is, will the players perform or is the team just better on paper?

101292d1351343104-ahmad-studios-clt20-stumps- released-islamabad-igunas.png

With a bubbly and young manager to control the team, this is usually the disaster recipe. Too many ideas can usually destroy a team. But his picks

have been tactical and brave. With the likes of Virat Kohli, Hashim Amla and AB De Villiers. There is little to question about the batting depth. With

the class of these players, the Islamabad team needs no other batsmen, but the manager wisely drawn in Asad Shafiq from the Pakistani squad. A

player usually on the sidelines observing the match. Will be his chance to play some great cricket and find a way in to the national side. The

domestic experience of Khurram Manzoor on Pakistani home tracks will be of great use to the team, and will help build a great total to defend.

The bowling may not be the strongest but it contains energy and spice (like the manager himself!). With Tanvir Ahmad the very experienced

domestic player in the side may provide as a great player for Islamabad. The spin of young Raza Hasan, who bowled with heart in the World Cup will

be great for the team, accompanied with Aaron Phangiso, who has played in South Africa for donkey years, known for his wicket taking and

economical bowling. The Englishman, Graeme Swann is also in the team, to give the bowl a rip. But the bowling department, really lacks a Pakistani

fast bowler who knows the condition.

The team is rely very heavily on three players Kohli, Amla and De Villiers, if they were not to perform the team would crumble like a Pakistani

batting. Maybe they should consider some Pakistani batsmen and a fast bowler. With only 5 overseas player allowed in the line-up, the manager has

only 6 home players, which is very shaky for the team.

attachment.php

The batting is strong for the Hyderabad Hyena's. With the power of Umar Akmal and Awais Zia, the team is strong. The likes of Gautam Gambhir and

Virender Sehwaq, will be used to provide a great start for the team to build on. the middle order is full of talent, with the oozing talent of Nasir

Jamshed. Who has had a mind-blowing few months. Umar Akmal in the middle, young and exciting, yet highly predictable at times and result in

failures in the batting. Ryan Ten Doeschate, who has disappeared from the scene sine the 2011 World Cup, but never the less a great prospect with

his experience. Unmukt Chand, the successful captain of the under-19's Indian team is included in to the squad. He can definitely bat in this format

with a century in the World Cup final proving it. Brendon McCullum's inclusion in to side, is very useful, not only because of his capability as a

batsmen but as a leader in the side.

The bowling is weak at best. The Australian, Ryan Harris, provides some great option with swinging the ball both ways. But apart from that, the

Hyena's lack with the bowling. The have Pakistani prodigy of Aizaz Cheema, doesn't seem to impress as such with the ball, but his might be his

tournament. With the team highly dependant on overseas players the team appears weak and very brittle, the manager must grab some good

domestic bowlers so he is not relying on the overseas to perform. He may have forgotten that only 5 overseas player in the line-up.
