I am thinking of doing something about it.

Danish Kaneria is my captain and I am lucky he is playing in this test. He did well in the New Zealand tour but I don't remember what happened in the Australian tour but he knows the English conditions well because he plays county cricket, so hopefully he does well to bring me back into a good FC form.

Just checked out the stats of Kaneria in his last test series against Australia and found that he had taken 9 wickets in 2 test matches. I feel, he might do better than that in England.

Yesterday I had Umar Akmal in my team. But I dropped him eventually for Clarke.

I am taking a risk with Watson and Ponting. Watson isn't in form and Ponting doesn't have a great record at Lord's.

I went with Johnson and Bollinger. Hilfenhaus is coming back from injury. If he had played some more matches I would have taken him instead of Bollinger.

Kaneria got two wickets. I took Afridi because of his bowling and so far he only bowled 3 overs.

I regret for picking him ahead of Aamer and Asif as a specialist bowler.

This might cost me a place in the top 3. And I don't even have Katich, he should get a duck if I want to be alive in this competition.

Looking at the batting line up I think that Afridi will bat at number 6. He surely must bowl some more overs, otherwhile it's no use of including him in a Test side. He isn't great with the bat, although he has a batting Test average of 37.40 (Butt has 30.96 and Farhat has 33.95). If he doesn't bowl often, he should open the innings.

I found out late in the day that he wasn't playing. He is an experienced batsmen, but on the other hand the batsmen in hand must play. Maybe the other batsmen were in form in domestic cricket, so they got a chance.
