Just went through cricinfo's NRR explanation and yes, you did the correct thing.
Wade wasn't playing. Voges List A average is seven higher than North. I'm talking about ratings, in which I would assume that North would be the worst rated player in your playing XI, and he did the best.

Guyana were looking good at one point but Sanga and Deonarine never really accelerated the scoring, in fact, they ate up too many balls even in the closing overs of the match which caused the Carribean side dear. For Karachi, Wahab Riaz and Sunil Narine were right on target. The talented Babar Azam's half century was something that Karachi would like to cherish coming into the game against WCF.

Won't take the Killers lightly - Michael Hussey
A day after West Coast Fever tore apart their Kiwi rivals in their opening game CLF50, WCF skipper Michael Hussey said that his team would not take Karachi Killers, whom they are scheduled to play in the next round, lightly. Talking to the media, Mr. Cricket said, "Its always nice to win the opening game of any tournament. The lads are very excited for the next match against Karachi Killers and their morale is sky high at the moment. That said, we are our that we are the favorites for winning the title but it will be a mistake to consider Karachi Killers or any other team in the tournament lightly. Every team here is a champion of their domestic cricket and thats enough to say what they are capable of."

On being asked about Morne playing for the Killers in the next game, the stylish left hander from Perth said, "We will miss Morne in the next game as he will be playing against us but thankfully we have Dougie Bollinger to fill his shoes. Dougie was iconic in our title win in ELA with his golden ball winning performance. He has been looking great and bowling with all the firepower in the nets. We will certainly go with full strength team and take no chances in any match."
