Would you guys be keen if we hosted a small little 5-team CL for season XX?

I noticed there were teams that hadn't played in CL despite winning their comps and those comps had new seasons where there were new winners.

So, maybe we can do a small little CL between teams that have been skipped over from leagues who have new seasons/winners?

The winners from new seasons of these comps can, and should, take part in a proper CL with all the new comps' winners.

I suggest:-

CL XX - "Mini CL"

IODC: Delhi Capitals
HCP: Multan Sultans
AKT: Sunrisers Hyderabad
ZPL: Triangle Tigers
Adelaide Armies? (Bond-Lee Cup, if @Paranoid Kendroid's on board)

If a 4/5 team CL is too small, we can include runners-up too like CL X8.

IODC: Ongoing
HCP: I plan on doing it after WC
IPL: To begin
ZPL: Southern Rocks
BCL: Ongoing
ECL: Ongoing
SA50: Sunrisers Eastern Cape
BBL: Perth Scorchers

Only fair in my opinion to give the team managers from ongoing leagues a fair chance to compete in season XX.

It's literally the same leagues in both seasons with winners who got skipped over instead of their newest champs.

IMO, if four/five teams are going to end up missing out, then I think it makes no sense to not do a CL between those teams alone.

Thank you, appreciate it. But that means we play next season with what I'm proposing, not right now.

When I say "Mini" CL, I mean it in name only. All I'm saying is that there's currently an entire season of CL that's going to be lost unless we run it now. We should've already had a CL because there were just enough teams, but we can still have it if we choose to do it now.

Besides, if I had to guess, I'd say the leagues that are ongoing right now are going to take literal months to finish. That gives us ample time to run a CL and get through its own downtime, and then do another CL in all its glory.

It's only just a suggestion, which I hope is more easily understood with the following breakdown.

Same leagues, same managers, but an entire CL season worth of teams lost because no one ran a CL before when there should've been and we ended up with such a long break instead.

@RUDI THIS is going to happen regardless. Whether it's CL20 or 21, the only thing we're deciding is if winners from the first three leagues + another (that hasn't had a new season) get a chance to participate in the Champions League or not.
