Hello everyone, welcome to the final of Champions League here at PlanetCricket. We have two evenly matched sides here in Nottingham Outlaws (EPL) and Manicaland Bulls (ZPL). Nottingham have been consistent throughout the competition and have justified their favorites tag right from the start. They beat Seattle Sharks in the 1st qualifier, the table toppers, to get to the final, in a high scoring encounter. On the other hand, Manicaland have been the dark horses as many would believe. After the thrilling eliminator against Polokwane, they won comfortably in the rematch and then defeated the demoralized Seattle Sharks in the 2nd qualifier to be here squaring off against the favorites.

At the toss, it was the Manicaland Bulls skipper Brendan Taylor who called it correctly and decided to send Nottingham in. This was seen as a surprising call by many as the wicket looked good to bat on. Plus, bat first in big games is what everyone keep saying.

There it is! Manicaland Bulls have come from nowhere to take the title by defeating the favorites here in Champions League. AB de Villiers' first century of the competition couldn't have come at a better time for them. Congratulations to Manicaland Bulls and the Zimbabwe Premier League for their win.
