I think there is few points you should know about PC LIGA, ESMS Simulator and my way of dealing leagues...

We divided more than 500 players in 4 pools, that mean ratings of a player in same pool can be identical... So if you pick messi or neymar both will do same, scoring goal... So that mean if you pick any striker from pool a, he will be rated too close to messi, zaltan and others...
I don't think any of managers here know about ESMS, it is a simulator which not work according to one player's rating... it take all things in account... and results always depending on your tactics...
If you too curious about star players and you pick 3 players in stage 1, than you miss the chance to pick players from pool b and you have to settledown to only one player from pool c and you need to pick all remaining 19 players from pool d... which not help you much, when you post your team sheet and face against less stars but much more balanced team... So that mean in my leagues, I always try to make league more interesting, balanced and hard to win...

So it is not a matter if you miss out messi, zaltan or ronaldo... you can beat any team with your tactics, not with a single high rated player...
