Apologies if I'm covering old ground i haven't played much, have a family crisis so don't have much time to read through every old post.
On human batting:
There definitely feels like an inconsistency with the power of shots. Maybe it's to do with attributes, but I doubt it considering special shots are easily the most powerful and a lot of the players I use have low special shots ratings. Also it wouldn't explain the difference between back foot and front foot shots.
I've had quite a lot of dropped catches from AI. Are others getting them? I have catching atrributes at 50. Maybe that's low enough or too low. It would be nice to find a balance. I only have had time for about 25 overs but had about eight droped catches (slip/gully, keeper and outfield).
I feel that even when confidence is low when timing is in the green there needs to be greater power behind a shot. It still feels like they just trickle and will never reach the boundary.
Maybe it's an eagerness on my part, but when I go for a lofted or aggressive shot I nearly always seem to get early timing and a big loop in the air. I've had a few sixes but with the low power early in an innings it can be very difficult to get going.
Does pitch hardness effect the outfield? I was wondering are some of the soft pitches always having soft outfields so the ball travels to the boundary slower. Would be interested to know.
I feel as though batsman and bowlers could start in orange confidence. Or at least have progession sped up a little. I should add I've been playing ODI.
