PC T20 Tournament

Played a match with indian11 and he almost got on my nerves.

For goodness sake.. WHAT do I need to do to make others play realistically? indian11 was soooo desperate on winning (which he did) that he forgot the rules of cricket. Do we have to tell EACH AND EVERY rule out here to ensure that people play properly?

I thought he would be a happy man after he scored 300+ in the first innings... but no, he was so insecure that in first 10 overs more than 6 overs were bouncers !! DAMN you man.

Either learn to play realistic cricket or never EVER fall in my way again. I hope I have made my ideas VERY clear to you indian11.

And this goes for others too.. who can't play realistic cricket.. kindly save yours and my time and never play ask me to play you.

If that means I am out of this cup.. so be it. Who wants to play with such people anyway.

Very well said muchmore. There are plenty of people who can do anything for winning.

I don get it..Why cant some people play fairly, instead of bowling the same delivery repeatedly or moving the cursor at the last moment. And use a realistic field setting. God-damn its jus so unfair and the lag which makes it even worse is absolutely pathetic!:facepalm

@Muchmore: No worries mate, we'll make sure that kind of strategy would not be employed!

@Jara: You've played everyone?
@Duthad: How many have you to play mate?

I played jaraarrow and there was marginal lag except for when Fast bowler bowled.. so all in all very much playable.

I am yet to play Dutch, ambar, and you ?

Played:
Connect: cricxprt-MOL, indian11, jaraarrow
Cant connect: reno99

Well, dont know whats wrong with you mate but I did everything u asked me to do before playing which was :

One fast bowler, minimum 4overs of spin (I cant help it if you get out too quickly), no last minute movement of cursor at all (again cant help it if you are not able to time the bouncers), no custom fields (all the time I had no fielder in deep on leg side except fine leg which was very fine). And also after mutual agreement (as suggested by you ) no coming down the track at all even to spinners.

Now if you are weak against the bouncers then its not my problem as there was no fielder in the deep on the leg side whenever I bowled the bouncers as you did got committed to shot even before the ball pitched. Also you said 6 out of 10 overs were bouncers ? (Come on man if I bowl 36 balls out of 60 even to a new player, he will take benefit of it by hitting it every time for 6 or a 4)) And by the way u also tried to bowl a lot of bouncers on chest area but again its not my problem if I hit you every time for 4 or a 6. Also if you remember correctly you also bowled so many yorkers which can be very difficult to hit but I didn't complained. Also just before the bowl pitches you as a batsman moved in your crease knowing that cursor will not move. But I didn't did any thing like that when I was batting as it would have been unfair. Again I didn't complained as I dont want it be just hit, hit and hit or wicket, wicket and wicket game.

Anyways, I am still open to play with anyone but if you are not interested then its your choice.:facepalm

And regarding desperate for victory, again its upto you if you don't want to play to win. Also whatever be the policy of the tournament, I am more than happy to follow it as it is same for all.

To an extent I agree with you but if don't allow the bowler to do anything then it gets too much boring.:sarcasm

If you know as a bowler that a batsman is not able to hit you on a specific bowl then you tend to bowl it a bit extra in that region. And for winning, I think everyone wants to win but its not about victory or loss, its about winning by playing fairly which I did. Its just that Muchmore was not able to hit me at all on bouncers.

You don't get it. Do you?

Me finding hard to hit bouncers or you finding hard to hit yorkers is NOT the issue here. All, I wanted was to have a 'realistic' and 'fair' game of cricket. I don't give a damn if a 'new player' hits you for 6 or 4 on bouncers. There is a rule of 1 bouncer an over which needs to be followed.

Also just before the bowl pitches you as a batsman moved in your crease knowing that cursor will not move. But I didn't did any thing like that when I was batting as it would have been unfair.

Since when is that a problem? And even if that was, we are on PC forums to decide SUCH issues only! And we take it that player WILL follow the usual rules of cricket. - 1 bouncer an over.

Well, dont know whats wrong with you mate but I did everything u asked me to do

Of yes, it was certainly my mistake that I didn't tell you that other than these things you still had to bowl as per the rules of cricket. My bad.. eh ? Should have provided you with a Wisden.. right?

Realistic game ?????? :laugh:laugh

I guess you are not Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis who can bowl 3 or 4 yorkers in an over which you did in the game earlier.

Also if a batsman can move at the last moment then bowler should also be allowed to move the cursor but I didn't as I gave my word.Do you want me to give it in writing to you on stamp paper?????

So you was also equally responsible:mad:

Come on man, many players do bowl so many deliveries which are unplayable and so many batsmen play shots which are unrealistic otherwise either its going to be just batsman or a bowler game. Can you stop all that ???? :sarcasm:sarcasm

I doubt for that as even you cannot stop yourself from playing flick to square leg from almost offside wide ball.

And regarding the wisden, I don't need it but I think you need it to know that you can bowl as many balls in an over as long as it is below your shoulder height and 99 % of my short balls were below your shoulder and this is just a game but I think you need to understand that its not only you who is out there to play this game.

I won't say that how good you are in the game but it seems that you feel comfortable when you know that bowler is going to bowl in your area and you just don't enjoy the bowling.

I can play eveyone dabi.:)

If you are taking our conversation in the above spirit. Move on.

Buddy I just wanted to make you realise that some time things dont go as you want them to go.:)

Ok tell me, how can you tell that how player is going to play or likes to play. Still I did what you asked me to do regarding the ground rules but if you still need that there should be such rules which are not normally followed in the game then you should be more specific as I am not going to play this way unless I know that the other player will follow them as well. (I bowled bouncers because you bowled yokers)

I do want to enjoy the game like you and it can be done only against a good competitor. So if you want then we can make a fresh start other wise we both can move on and I don't have any problems in doing so as well.

Game

Anyone up for a game?one fast bowler, one spinner, custum fields allowed?

Dude I'm not gonna nag bout your bowling, as I haven't seen how you have had bowled to muchmore. :sarcasm

Generally no one like to lose a game .And if you;re a bowler, you obviously don wana get whacked. For me it's all bout creating some variation and as you said we tend to bowl on the batsmen weakness region not as in teasing the batsmen with constant bouncer or yorker. The good and full length bowl are always appreciated by anyone and if you can swing it properly then no doubt, you'll have a good time with any pace bowler.

The last thing I'd like to say again. It's bout playing fairly and winning, which makes it evenly enjoyable for both the players and accept the loss or defeat much more easily. :)

Bingo ! Thats how the game should be enjoyed. :happy:happy:happy

@Muchmore: We did have our game mate, it got disconnected but we know our game connects to each other. As for not participating, ofcourse the decision is yours, however I'd prefer if you not opt out...
@indian11: You're right, one tends to bowl on the opposition's weakness, as teh case should be...Bouncers however should be limited to a maximum of two per over (I say two because hey may not necessarily bounce above shoulder height).

So excluding jara, how many of you have yet to play each other.
