The scene fades in to the PCWF Superstar, Chesney Daniels, walking down the street. He is casually dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with the night sky behind him illuminated by the moon. To his right is a main road, where cars go screeching past regularly. To the left, rows of shops, clubs and bars. Daniels walks straight on, passing all of these things, until he turns into a pub and finds a seat at the bar.
Daniels: I'll have a beer please, any will do.
The bartender goes to get Daniel's beverage. The pub is unusually quiet for an evening. Only a few people are sat around tables and nobody near the seat Daniels is sat on. The bartender returns with the drink and hands it over, collecting the money Chesney has put on the table already. He turns to put it in the till, but double takes, realising who he is serving.
Bartender: Are you Chesney Daniels? The PCWF star?
Daniels: Thats the one
Bartender: Wow! My kids are huge fans of you. Can I get an autograph for them, if you don't mind?
Daniels: Sure, no problem, its great to have fans.
He pulls out of his pocket a picture of himself and signs it before handing it over.
Daniels: Always handy to keep people happy.
Bartender: You know, you come across as a really nice guy, not like some of those arrogant guys you see around like JJS who ges round beating guys up backstage for no reason. You're against him this week arn't you?
Daniels: Yeah I am, should be a good match. I hope Im at peak condition after Golden Gamble though.
Bartender: Oh yes, I watched that. Those guys are no good, Crabbe and Goyle. I bet they couldn't beat anyone 1-on-1, always have to have the numbers they do.
Daniels: I suppose, they arn't bad on their own I don't think, although they've never proven it.
Bartender: Well I hope you beat them in the end. If you don't mind, there is on question I have always wanted to ask one of you guys. How do you get to be such a big star? What brings you into wrestling?
Daniels: Great question. I'll tell you my experiences if you want.
Bartender: Yeah, that would be great!
Daniels: Well I suppose I had better start at the very beginning, back in High School...
In a very Hollywood way, the screen fades into a flashback. The scene is a typical High School playground, packed with kids. One stands out in partiicular, a kid who is obviously a young Chesney Daniels. Daniels is walking around, seemingly minding his own business until another kid, and a crowd following him, walks in the oppisite direction and gets in his face. This kid has brown, spiked hair and, although is smaller in height, seems stronger than Daniels.
Kid: Hey, Chez, looking lonely arn't you?
Daniels: Get lost, loser.
Kid: I am sorry to tell you this, but it isn't normal to talk to yourself.
Daniels: I said go away, just let me go.
Kid: No, you see you're annoying me.
Daniels: How? Im minding my own business!
Kid: Youre on my playground. You know what I could do to you. I am the top guy in the wrestling team. They say I have talent, want a demonstration?
Daniels: Talent? A donkey has more talent than you.
That was a mistake. The other kid gets closer and closer, breathing heavily on Daniels, forcing him to back off.
Kid: You just made a huge error, now lets see you get destroyed by the "donkey", shall we?
The crowd behind the kid cheer him on, but Daniels is less keen.
Daniels: Why bother? We know you can wrestle, big deal...
With that the smaller kid dives at Daniels. Chants of "Fight! Fight!" start up. The other kid is well in control though and pulls Daniels to his feet in a Chinlock. He releases the move and Daniels gets in 2 punches and goes to try and grapple with the other kid, but that was the wrong move as the kid grabs Daniels and performs an excellent belly-to-belly suplex. Daniels is down in pain as the other kid moves in and applies a Sharpshooter. Daniels writhes in pain and flays around, but that is all he can do. An adult finally moves in to break it up. Daniels is left on the ground in agony as the crowd clear. Agony, but there is a fire in his eye. Something has changed in him, something has woken.
The picture returns to the Bar.
Daniels: I have to go now, so that's all I can tell you. We'll be close by for a few weeks now though, so I can come back and tell you the rest some other time.
Bartender: Please do, its really interesting to hear all of that.
Daniels: No problem. See you around.
Daniels gathers his belongings and heads out, leaving a very pleased bartender and some memories behind.
