When you push down on it's back the water will come out. Take your hands off the Lion's back to stop the flow of water.

Zoom in close and use a small eraser.

The tool that can perfectly do this job is Pen Tool. It allows you to make curves when you are selecting the object.And remember always zoom to select objects while using pen tool.
