Pitch wear, Where is it ????

Hello all I have been playing this game for 2 weeks now and have won the world cup and ICC cup and played one test match but have not seen any of this pitch wear.

Does the wear occur in every match type and how many overs normally before the wear begins to happen. I saw a snapshot of someone playing this game and they had some great looking wear which certainly looked nothing like what i'm getting. The pitch just looks the same throughout the match. Granted the wear was on a rather green looking pitch and I have not played on a green pitch yet.

Could someone kindly post some pictures of their pitch wear and and some info as to when the wear started to occur ie. how many overs had been played the weather and on which ground it is etc.

I suppuse I should mention i'm playing on xbox my gaming pc is dead and when I have the cash I will be building a new one but untill then i'm stuck with the console.

Not sure about X-box but Wear is definatley visable on PC. It will occur on every ground.

This is a pic of Dhaka on day 1 of a test match this pic was taken just before tea on day 1 and after about 10 overs some light wear was visible!

Is there possibly an option to turn pitch wear on or off at the start? I'm guessing as I haven't really studied the options much.

Does the ball move more when pitched in the rough?

I've found it does do. I managed to bowl Hayden round his legs out of the rough with Vaughan. Turned almost twice the distance.

He played forward to it, and it just took off, I was angry with myself when I bowled it, because I thought it was gonna be hammered.

I'll see what damage Murali and Warne can cause soon.

I've found the ball goes anywhere after pitching in the rough which I think is great because that's pretty realistic.

can anyone with the ps2 version say if there is pitch wear and tear and perhaps a screen thanks guys

Not sure abt PS2, but YES there is wear n tear on the xbox version. I have played so many test matches: played in England, India, NZ, Zim and all of these countires pitches have wear n tear.

When you target those wear, especially with the spinners, the ball actually spins more. Very relistic.

I'm still not getting this wear at all and don't understand it. To be honest it's beginning to get up my nose a bit as I really want to utilise this wear.

Well i have Xbox and im playing my first test and its nearly the end of Day 1 and i have slight wear and tear...im sure it will increase throughout the match
