Captain shines as PCR record their second win in as many games!!

A Wonderfull innings from captain marvel saw PCR home in what was a nailbiting encounter. The runs were knocked off in 43.3 overs but that was taking thier time in the last 15, once the run rate was below 4 an over it was cruise controll, a great support innings from M.Bala also played a major role in the sucessfull chase, it allowed the captain to play his shots. They came together when the score was 229/4 and batted out a 100+ partnership under great pressure, the bowling was poor to be honest and there was at least a few in the slot every over, only one needed to go for six and the singles would make up about 8 per over, a great tactic against such inexpericned bowlers.

Bangladesh bowled in all the wrong places, anything in the slot was launched for six!

In the end the PCR showed what character they have to bounce back from such a going over, Bangaldesh will be wondering how they ever lost that game after socirng what must have been one of their highest ODI scores ever, lack of experience and over bowling in the seam department was the main factor here for both teams, the umpires are to be disciplined by the ICC for failing to pick up on the fact that the Bangladeshi's kept thier bowlers going for so long, new umpires are being drafted in for the second ODI that starts next week, untill then, stay tuned.

Selectors, take note - don't be too hard on any bowlers with bad figures, must have been one hell of a pitch to chase well over 300 with only 4 wickets down.

Yes great performance by the lads there, myself included! I told you I still had faith in our ability to chase the score down and we did just that and with wickets left and plenty of overs left. We could have well set a huge score if we were batting first on that pitch if we batted like we did and I am very proud of our efforts!

Lets not get too carried away and now concentrate on winning the next match and wrapping up the series!
