Individual - nominations
Cricketer of the Year -
Ben Stokes, no other real answer here.
Test Player(s) of the Year -
Stuart Broad and
Tim Southee. I really can't separate the two, the former was brilliant in the home season and the latter was one of the few Kiwis to show up in Australia and then took down India who were expected to be tough opposition.
ODI Player(s) of the Year -
KL Rahul and
Lungi Ngidi. The former was excellent after being asked to play a new role with the added pressure of keeping while the latter was instrumental in winning an ODI series versus Australia and drawing versus the World Champions in a tumultuous year for South Africa off the field.
Twenty20 International Performance(s) of the Year -
Paul Stirling 95(47) vs West Indies 1st T20I. Ireland's weakest format by far is T20Is and they have won just one game out of five in regular game time in the qualification period with that coming on the back of an outstanding innings from the opener who led Ireland to only their sixth 200 plus total across 98 games.
Oshane Thomas 5-28 versus Sri Lanka 1st T20I. Thomas' express pace in the powerplay reduced Sri Lanka to 56/5 and ensured that they could never chase despite having a wonderful innings from Kusal Perera. One of the few moments where a bowler chooses to attack a batsman with pure pace and short balls and it works out in a T20I.
Emerging Player of the Year -
Kyle Jamieson. Crawley was a strong shout but I wanted to go for a debutante in the time period mentioned and Jamieson looks like he could be a key bowler with that accuracy and awkward bounce in the upcoming years for New Zealand after a strong debut test series.
Associate Player of the Year -
Aqib Ilyas. Just looked up a few stats and saw his name at the top level with both bat and ball. What else do you want from a player?
Umpire of the Year -
Michael Gough. Was flawless in England's home season and has been remarkably good in the last three years to boot.
Women's Cricketer of the Year -
Beth Mooney. Outstanding in the T20I World Cup and in the series before that alongside that WBBL performance.
Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year -
Megan Schutt. Could have gone for Mooney or even Healy here but the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with an excellent four wicket haul in the final and dominance in a tournament with spinners playing the main role deserves a mention.
Women's Emerging Cricketer of the Year -
Shafali Verma. Ensured that a misfiring batting unit could make it to the finals with her quickfire starts. Pretty scary that she is already the most powerful hitter in this squad at this young age.
Spirit of Cricket -
West Indies for agreeing to be the first team to tour in the middle of a pandemic and
England for ensuring that the tour went very smoothly and remained very exciting to watch.
Worst Cricket Moment -
South Africa's can of worms being opened with corruption, ugly racism and financial mismanagement all being on public display. Cricket does need a strong South African side at the moment but not at the expense of racism and corruption being allowed to damage the long-term prospects of the sport in the country.
Team - nominations
Best Test Side -
England. Was there any other real contest? New Zealand may have enjoyed an impressive win versus India and England on their home turf but were completely flat in Australia. The latter were beastly at home but England have the vital away series victory that came under very trying circumstances with injury concerns, a cloud over the spots of several players and the captain against a South African side under new leadership and desperate to get off to a good start.
Best ODI Side -
South Africa. Losing just one game to the likes of England and Australia is a pretty commendable feat even if it was at home and they've found a new core group of players in Malan, Verreynne and Klaasen to support de Kock. Nobody would have expected that after everything that has been going on in their side and after losing the T20I series' prior to the ODI games.
Best T20 Side -
India. Toughest one to call but I don't think I've ever seen a side look as demoralized as New Zealand did in their T20I series in a long time and losing just one game in three series is a very good record. Tough luck for England who were also impressive but did not have the dominance that India had while Afghanistan deserve a mention for defeating the reigning T20I champions and Ireland.

Best Download Maker -
@wasteyouryouth for carrying the sole workload of making Cricket 19 as authentic as possible with no Friedlele around these days.
Best Cricket Game Patch - Not a patch technically, but the Cricket Captain Editor 2020 deserves a mention for how it has kept a stale and poor game moderately playable. Shout out to
@weetabixharry for making it possible.
Best Cricket Game - Cricket 19. No matter what it still does provide the best cricket experience for me virtually although Cricket Coach might challenge the throne if it is released next year.

Best Cricket Discussion Poster - a really tough one. The discussion thread is filled with excellent posts and very knowledgeable users that you could nominate any one of them. I shall choose
@CerealKiller simply because he seems to be the most active one in all threads.

@Aislabie for completely changing the way I look at cricket and kindling a passion in me for the older era of cricket. Whether it is his role discussion thread, VARP analysis or the discussion of a team/player's strength and playing style, he has you covered.
