I saw it asked earlier in the thread - No, it doesn't need to exclusively be international players/tournaments. We're looking at the time since the last awards, so cricket played from this time last year to now.

Agree with the chance of these being very biased towards favourites and local players, but I think beyond everyone voting for India as best team, there isn't so much of it that it won't be accepted.

Remember again these are nominations not your end vote. The nominations for the member awards will occur next week, just didn't want all of them to be up at once.

Also, one nomination per category per member, I'm currently counting the nominations so far and ignoring any double votes.

Not so much him. I wouldn't call him overrated if that's what you mean, I'd say he's just rated right.

I'm more talking about the youngsters that are all hyped up.
I've watched the standard of the IPL, and some of the domestic players are very poor.

Like Rohit Sharma for example, 50 ODI matches with an average of 32.
In Asia which we all know is the home of great batting pitches, he's averaging a mere 26.
How are some jokers saying he's underrated, I don't know.

Best Batsman: Tamim Iqbal

Tamim has had a great year and at first I thought this was a mad idea, but this guy has made alot of impact for a person who isnt in the strongest team. Watson narrowly missed out

Best Bowler: Graeme Swann

Mitchell Johnson was a strong candidate, but Swann has been vital to England's success in all formats and has established himself as one of the worlds best spinners

Best New Cricketer: Mohammad Aamir

Tough call picking him over Morgan and Akmal. But Aamir was a nobody last year, and in twelve months time he is the best fast bowler in Pakistan, one of the finest bowling teams in the world with alot of quality fast bowlers

Best Test side overall: England

Cant really decide between the best Test team in the world. England for me. Held the SA in SA, beat the Aussies and look a very competitive unit.

Best ODI side overall: Australia

By far IMO. Aussies beating India in India with a young team clearly shows their strength

Best T20 side overall: Australia

England may have won the World Cup, but the Aussies are still a fantastic unit
