PlanetCricket Mafia | Endgame!

WTH? Townies are dying left, right and center. If we don't have a succesful lynch today, we are majorly screwed. Here are my thoughts on the write-ups:

He was crAzY, and out looking for some fun. He decided to play with people's minds...little did he know his move would have far deeper repercussions than he could ever guess.

The cRaZy guy was up to his old tricks. "Last night went spectacularly well, let's see if I can confuse everyone a bit more tonight!" he thought as he created more mystery for the forums. He had no idea what his move would do but it wouldn't be long until he found out...

The cRaZy guy is obviously the bus-driver. And he successfully managed to switch targets on Night 1 (atleast). Might be why Hedger (the player, not the character :p) died on Night 1. Especially, because of this part in the write-ups.

This guy was also pretty crazy, and desperately seeking power. He looked for his target, but found someone else instead. "Oh well, it doesn't matter if it's the right person or not, anyone dead is good for me," he thought, and killed him in cold blood.

He was seeking power and was preparing to kill whoever for that power. The previous night he hadn't killed his intended target, and so he decided to try again tonight. To his surprise, there was someone standing outside the subforum where his target was hiding, keeping watch! "Darn it," he thought. "I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow night. As they say, third time lucky..."

This is either the vigilante or the SK. Most likely the SK because of the nature of his actions. He killed someone on Night 1, but not the target he intended. Which is where I guess the busdriver played a part.

He was trying to stop someone from doing something in the night. He managed to trap who he thought was his target into the casino part of the forums, at the bar with him. However, when he looked at his face closer, he saw that it was not who he had thought it was.

This was probably the roleblocker (Yudi). And again, he didn't roleblock his intended target. So the busdriver switched the SK and roleblocker on Night 1. And since we now know the identity of the roleblocker, the busdriver probably knows the identity of the SK. Unless there's a Jack-of-Trades, who might have used their own role-block ability on Night 1. But, I highly doubt that.

He had a double role to do at night. He was looking for one particular person he knew was here somewhere.... ah was that him?! He tapped him on the shoulder and lo behold it was him! His target joined their secretive group and began plotting.

With that done, he began to look for his other target. When he found him, he was unprotected and was easily dispatched of. "That's one important guy gone, never to bother us again!" he thought as he crept away again.

He was happy. Last night he had managed to recruit his target to his side as well as forcing a double night phase. Right throughout the funeral he had been trying to stop himself laughing at the poor weeping bastards all around him. Tonight he had a particular target in mind, but as he approached him from behind, he felt something was amiss. "Oh well," he thought, "this guy's going to die" and shot him. When he turned him over, he found it wasn't the person he had intended, but he didn't care too much.

This one, I believe, refers to the Mafia Godfather. He killed Ray during Night 1,and successfully managed to recruit the recruitable mafia as well. His target got switched last night, but still managed a kill.

One person did sleep quite soundly however, having forgotten completely that he had a role he was supposed to fulfill.

Someone obviosuly forgot to send their role during Night 1.

He had slept through the previous night, but today he decided was the right time to use his role. He crept around the forums and found the guy he was looking for. Secretly, he planted a virus on that person's computer; a virus set to go off in a couple of days time and destroy his computer...

Someone's obviosuly been poisoned.

Last night he had been successful in finding someone who he thought was dangerous to him and his side. Tonight he decided that he would put an end to his life, and perma-banned that person. "He would not trouble them ever again!" he thought, as he went back to bed, safe in the suspicion that he had ended the life of someone who had been plotting against him.

And this explains the other kill last night. But I have no idea who did it, and why.

We are in deep trouble. We've lost a number of townies - including good players and some power roles (like the roleblocker). Add on top of that, the mafia have successfully managed to recruit their last member. The only good thing that's come out is that the busdriver knows the identity of the SK.

@ Callum - I don't think Ray's posts will reveal anything substantial against the mafia. I think he simply went because they perceive him as one of the biggest threats. During the last mafia game, we went for Ray during Night 1 exactly because of that reason.

But since we don't have much to go on right now, I will FOS: Varun

@ Papa - Assuming you're right (:p), that summary of sorts has cleared some things up for me that I wasn't sure on.

I wasn't really sure on the recruited who could also kills, but it makes more sense that it was the godfather, rather than a serially killer/cult like I said.

I know this is very cliched, but Abhas is still alive, and on day one IIRC (I might be wrong) he said along with a few others that his character would be mafia, and he's turned up town, which is rather interesting.

The intriguing thing is that the person needs some 'power'. I personally that doesn't fit with vigilante, leading me to believe that it could be SK. However, what kind of power would an SK get?

And why was he not successful. Did he get scared by the watcher? Or was Yudi able to block him before he died? Can someone pls. clarify the order in which the night roles are performed?

This seems as if someone killed Aditya thinking he was mafia. It says last night he was successful in finding out who he thought was dangerous to him and this night he killed. What confuses me is whether cop could also have a kill? Or can cop and vig communicate somehow?

Yeah, it's hard to find evidence in posts this early on, especially when the three townies killed at night only made like five worthwhile posts each.

Tom, Rizzy, Abhas and P_Squared have been suspciously quiet :spy

How many anti-town members do you think there are guys? I'm guessing 4 mafia + one recruitable mafia and one SK. Considering one of the mafia is dead already, that leaves 5 anti-town members. I'm fairly confident that atleast one of the players mentioned above is part of the 5 anti-town left.

Wow this is crazy, freakin annoying bus driver lol, they can really screw things up and make everything weird, hopefully it's an experienced person and they know what they're doing...

And really unlucky how we didn't get a day to have a chat, but we've got one now so we have to use it wisely

Only for people who have killing Night roles and are after a particular target :spy And going by the write-ups, the SK has tried to go after the same person during both Nights. Thank-God there is a bus-driver, as he can deduce which of his targets have what roles from the write-up.

The only worrying thing about the bus-driver for me is that the write-ups keep referring to him as crazy and just trying to cause chaos. He did orchestrate the killing of a mafia on night 1 though so that was a good job! :thumbs

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Thats all I have to say to you mafia guys whoever you are!
:mad

Interestingly, in the prev. game, Zorax was the one who brought up killing off ARay on Night 1. And here too, ARay gets killed off Night 1.
Here were Zorax's words in the quicktopic (Pokemon game) - 'He's the biggest threat to exposing me, he probably knows me better than the others there".
I know its not much but it is worth keeping in mind.

Screwing up the Cops investigations and such? Although yes he can help by sometimes screwing up the Mafia's kills but most times the bus driver has no idea what he's doing

Double blow damn! And I know that with Yudi and Aray down, both of whom lynched me, the suspicion is bound to come on me. But I knew that something like this was going to happen. Have a lot of other stuff to say, going to post it after going through the discussions once again to reconfirm my thoughts.

Well this is bad I guess

----------

Since the writeup has been analysed by more experienced and better players I don't think I can be of any help there

*further help

Although, Aray and Yudi were suspicious about Varun and they died. Varun also was pretty aggressive against Vedarshi, a townie so
