Isnt there a facility to use a signature solely on the basis of the file size like it used to be in vB?

As I said, I didn't understand what you are asking, I saw your question. Can you rephrase it and say what it is you are trying to do but can't do.

Well,in the previous forum,it used to be like that a sig less than or equal to 100 kB in size could be used(resolution didnt matter).But now,I am unable to use a 400*150 sig (less than 100 kb).Can this parameter be set back to the one like in the previous forum or we need to use 300*100 ones only?

The forum might have resized for you, but the limit was and remains 300x100 - so upload them at that resolution or lower. Even Paint can resize images.

It actually denied me from using that particular one.The quality of the sig spoils when it is resized.

It needs to be resized regardless - even if it was the server doing it for you, it would still need to be shrunk down to 300x100 - because that's the limit.
