yeah, Vettori has been a bit like shahid afridi was at the twenty20 at this event. He's worked his way into the tournament and is getting better each game.

A vital 50 and his usually economical bowling with a wicket or two would make him player of the tournament for sure.

Vettori hasn't failed once with bat or ball. Ponting hasn't failed either and has scored a lot of runs consistently. It's going to come down who wins, but if I had to decide now it would be Vettori.

I guess Watson hasn't been consistent with the bat, but he has been very good with the ball.

However, if catches win matches, why not name Ross Taylor?

Out of Ponting and Vettori for me with Watson not far behind. But I think it will come down to the final.

Congrats to Ponting he set it up with his consistent batting and his knocks on the tougher pitches. Watson was close but his slow start cost him.

Ponting raelly played well throughout the series (except the finals).he is chasing Tendulkar's record (thats what he said,that Sachin has set benchmarks for others ... and so on...)
