The snooker player Paul Hunter has died aged 27 after losing his battle with cancer. :crying

This is shocking to news, he seemed such a nice, genuine guy.

Our thoughts have to be with his family at this time.

Very sad news. I'll certainly never forget watching his amazing comebacks at the Masters.
We'll all miss you Paul.

So young, a great player, and loss to the sport

R I P Paul Hunter. His "Plan B" at the Masters will go down in folklore in Snooker, and combined with his bravery will see that he outlasts many people who have "lived" longer lives. Gone but never forgotten.

A huge loss to snooker, an even bigger one to his family.

Great player, will be sorely missed :(

His bravery at this years World Championships was one of the best bits of bravery in sporting competition.

Let's hope his family can get through this tough time in their lives.

When I heard the news this morning I was devastated. I'm a huge snooker fan and a huge Hunter fan, and to read about his death brought a tear to my eye. Could have been a legend at the sport but had his life cruely snatched away from him. May you rest in peace Paul.

Only 9 posts to respect the memory of one of the fine young snooker players, that's shameful. I don't watch snooker too much but when I do I always looked out for Hunter, he was one of the rising stars in the game.

It's not shameful. There just aren't a lot of snooker fans on the forum.
