Breaking News
Jane McGrath, wife of Glenn has died at the age of 42, following a long and well documented battle with breast cancer. First diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997, doctors removed her left breast. Glenn and Jane founded the McGrath Foundation in 2002 to raise funds for cancer research. In 2003 a secondary growth was discovered in her hip; meanwhile, on tour in the West Indies, Glenn famously told Ramnaresh Sarwan what he'd do if he mentioned his wife again. In 2006, following the discovery of a brain tumour Glenn took leave from international cricket to care for Jane while suffering from the side effects of radiotherapy and depression. Thought to be recovering from surgery earlier in the year, complications set in and her health declined rapidly in the past week.
Jane leaves Glenn and their two children James and Holly, aged 8 and 6.
