Yea tbh Im not even sure what I prefer. If its for small stakes and fun then live but I dont think I could play 1-2 or 2-4 blinds live. I would have too many tells.

the importance of physical tells is vastly exaggerated, there are a few subtle things I have picked up on but there are very very few times when someone will say scratch their nose on a bluff, and to pick up on those anyway you have to have a lot of hands played against them, which rarely happens. Although it depends on what you mean by tells.
Besides those who can pick up tells are solid, experienced players. You aren't going to be winning much money off them, it's the drunk tourists, the stag parties, people with money to burn, the guy who just won a few grand on the roulette etc.

Ah true, but when it comes to larger sums Ive only played online. The only times i play live poker are friendly cash games, 20 dollar buy in (unlimited rebuys) .25 and .50 blinds NL. Its just for fun.
I did play in Vegas once but I got tweaked many times due to it being fixed limit, donkeys were catching BS on the turn and river so much that I eventually left.

I need to get back into the play money poker again, and get good enough to start playing real money.

If the dealer has 7 or more, keep hitting till you get 18 or above (then stand).
If the dealer has 6 or less, keep hitting till you get 12 or more (then stand).
If the dealer has 6 or less AND you have 10 or 11, go double!
