Random Thoughts

A mate of mine is travelling around india with his girlfriend right now (like a 3 month trip or something, not sure i was only half listening when he was talking about it)

his blog is quite a good read (he was briefly known as wise jim, so he speaks a lot of sense)

there was an amusing story about how the son of one of the hotels they were staying at's owner, about 16 or so grew obsessed with his girlfriend (nearly 30ish i think) in a very creepy way. it made me think that pc is actually probably representative of indian youths and their sexual weirdness.

I have been to Bombay in 1993ish and everyone says its so much better now.

my bro has confirmed it's still very 3rd world.

Care for pics Ste? I can PM you some of the nasty ones

My bro is engaged to a knockout German chick, she wanted to go visit him so bad but he said no for exactly this reason.

Mark I bought MLB 12 the other day. It's boomshakalaka.

You're the only person I can think might care.

I believe the term is developing world.

Which is a word used to describe countries like Brazil, China, India etc...

Why? Because they are developing at a rapid rate. What does that actually mean? That the rich are getting stinky rich completely and utterly exploiting the increasingly desperate poor. It's no surprise that countries with incredibly lax laws in terms of labour are now dominating the manufacturing and production industries.

Why outsource to somewhere like the UK, where employees have rights, when you could have an entire factory of staff manufacturing products for minimal wage outgoings, insane hours worked per day, and cheaper costs.

Of course, this doesn't stop the mug next to me on the bus enjoying his ?1000 Ipad.

Bare in mind Mark, he does say, "amusing story." You need to do some proper travelling dude, for example I've been to a fair few places, and without doubt, the most retarded people I've ever met, were in LA.

This was over 10 years ago when I was 17 mind.

"Oh Em Gee. You guys have mobile phones in England!"
"Err, yes, we've had them for quite some time now, probably a better network at the moment than the States actually."
"That is sooo cute! What's England like? Do you guys have all the stuff we do then?"
I just looked at her, "yeah, even idiots" and left.

It's fair to say my brother was absolutely pissing himself, which I think was the only thing that allowed her to see I was possibly referring to her haha

Well done dude!

My old housemate just spent ?200 getting a Ps3 solely for MLB 2012 haha

I would suggest the amount of

"today you are not a ??????" comments suggests America still has more than it's fair share of issues haha

That 4chan, it's not just America. It's the dregs of the world.

And all that jazz you typed up is good but I'm not talking about the intelligence level of the people. I am talking about basic hygiene.

Well, we were in a jacuzzi at the time, so for all I know, she smelt of hamburgers and processed cheese.

Oh, and obesity is not healthy ;)

Yeah of course India needs some work still, loads of places do. I'm pretty sure there's some scummy parts of inner city America rife with crack dens (I've seen the Wire :p ) and other crap holes... like New Jersey :p

You're getting on me for not travelling and you are basing your opinions off the Wire?

:thumbs

and how you put obesity and corpses floating down a river in the same category is beyond me.

Haha, good lord dude, stop taking me seriously ;)

Funny how you love to slate India, but not so keen when someone has a laugh at your own mess of a country.

I think when you're so used to seeing death, when life is about survival, things like that aren't so much a concern. Other priorities have to take precedent. However, don't try and pretend that in certain ghettos around America, a dead body couldn't be equally as ignored/desensitized (and, no I was joking about the Wire, I'm using my actual knowledge of problems that exist in both our countries).

Here I was thinking putting a :p meant people realised it wasn't meant seriously.... still get's lost on Americans though haha

I don't care about your comments against America. They don't offend me. I dislike many parts of America myself.

I didn't care for the comparisons. Obesity and having feces and dead corpses in the water supply are different levels imo.

The reason they're in the same category is because at the end of the day, both of them lead to early deaths. Except I suppose one is borne out of circumstances beyond their control, a misfortune to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time. The other is self-indulgent greed and self-inflated self worth surrounded by inherent selfishness. Ignore the rest of the world, just stuff my self with ridiculously unhealthy food. Unfortunately something that is invading England with far more success than the Germans or the French.

Then, while they're sat there on their sofa, diabetes knocking at their door, stuffing yet another extra cheese cheese macaroni with cheese into their whiney face, they'll tell the rest of the world how right they've got it, and how wrong the world is...

Seriously, I'm just bored. Not even believing half of what I type, but sometimes that's fun too :D

(plus I assume that's what some of the Indian posters do... shirley???)

I've been dude, I've travelled some pretty nasty places and so far in my life seen 3 dead bodies. The first one was not pleasant.

Last time I was there, there was a kid who was helping us out. No older than 8, no family. Just a smile and a genuine desire to help. He used to write to us, we left him one of the biggest tips he's likely to have received. However, he stopped one day, and I'm not naive enough to assume he got bored of writing :( Of course, we couldn't write back, because he had no address, and I only hope he found something better.

I once spent some time travelling around Malawi, including working in a Parish school out there through a friend's family. The life expectancy in the village was a little over 45 at the time. The graveyard was as populated as the village, and the parish had barely been there a generation.

I've traveled as well. Seen the destitute ghettos of Chelsea and Brighton. Appalling stuff really

The only time I saw a dead body was also the day I lost my virginity. Sort of a bitter-sweet moment.

Haha, funny you should mention the UK. At school one of my best mates lived on one of the nastiest council estates in London. I mean, to the point that my mother wouldn't actually let me go there after a while. Not sure whether it was the needles in the "play area" that was so well looked after, or the drug dealers clearly operating out of the estate.

I think if you took a middle class Indian and showed it to them, he'd think England was equally horrible :p

Funnily enough though, if you're born in these areas, your immune systems adjust. They're almost probably as likely to die of disease as someone who spends their entire life making sure everything is disinfected. The odd bug here or there makes you stronger... unless it kills you, or is aids.

Haha, well if you're gonna sneak into morgues for sex... :spy

Or do you generally prefer to catch them yourself? Probably still a bit fresher that way :thumbs
