Jokes apart, yes, read in school that America have a lot of oil reserves, which they have not used yet, keeping them intact for a rainy day. Smart fella's, must say .

The oil is under natural preservations which are home to many animals and the sort and disrupting that environment would cause calamity tbh. We should spend our time trying to find other options before making such a big move.

A bit harsh, there. Having lived in Dubai for a couple of years, it isn't that bad a place. Quite artificial but much better than Singapore and Hong Kong, two places that were on the same route for a while.
