Random Thoughts

Once I took the medicine, that particular fast is gone and I could eat or drink normally, but I still have 29 days to fast. One thing that I should mention is that Islam does not force the sick to keep fasting. On the contrary they are forbidden to fast to ensure their health.

I've always felt a little sorry for people trying to fast during Ramadan in Scotland and other very north places. Especially since its hit around the time of longest day here; when you literally have about an hour and a half of proper darkness and the sun rising at four in the morning. I suppose that there is a way that you deal with situations like that: especially since you go much further north and it simply never gets dark!

What about the polar bears at the north pole?

It is not too bad in the midlands. From 2.40 a.m to 9.40 p.m yesterday, but the time is coming back slowly. By the end of Ramadan it will be half an hour shorter.

The one thing I am happy about is the weather. Such decent weather makes the fast not too hard.

I think you hope that Ramadan is later. Would be a breeze in January. Only light 10-3.

You know the forum's changed when Giggity Giggity is back out of nowhere and no one bats an eyelid.
