FINALLY have internet and TV back after a week. Been so bored. Only got power back like 2 days ago too...

Americans don't know what to do when the power goes out. Takes absolute days for it to come back on. It is terrible when it happens in the winter and we lose heat...
At least in India you know when the power is out its only for 20 mins or a MAX of a few hours or so. Here if it goes.... its gone for a solid 4+ days.

I've never had a power cut longer than a few hours before. I have no idea what I would do if it went out for a few days.

God it was terrible....so hot too. But I will take the heat over frigid winters without power (which we had to go through this year too...)

We had constant 9+ hrs power cuts for 2 weeks or so last year in summers. That was the time when we had Min 9 and Max 10 and half hours power cut consistently without any breaks. We know it well how to deal with it while you Americans aren't much experienced. Much better conditions now though. (well atleast for now hopefully)

So the Uni team finally let me bowl today in a friendly game. I've played so many matches for them but the captain, who is quite terrible, never lets me bowl despite many people telling him to let me bowl. We had a lack of options today and it was a friendly so I got a chance.

Took 5/38 in 5 overs and was MOTM. Wicket first ball as well. They were about 80/1 in 10 overs in a 30 over game when I came on, ended up collapsing too 163 a/o, which we chased down to win.

Boo yea.

Leave the captain, tell me how do you feel now. ;)

I'm chuffed, captain was really happy with the performance, took all the restraint I could muster to prevent myself from saying 'fearsome tweak you, you should have let me bowl 4 games ago'.
I could have actually bowled better than I did today too tbh. Gonna practice over the summer and hopefully be better come next year.

Hmm...you sound like a cricket legend. :p

Well, to be fair, it's pretty rubbish club cricket here. All sloggers, no real technique or patience, all you have to do is slow down the pace, land it just around off/middle and off, give it a rip, and they're confused. They can't read flight, and if you string together a few dot balls they end up doing something stupid.
