Rangana Instead of Mendis and Randiv

Why does Sri Lankan Selectors pick Rangana Herath instead of Ajantha Mendis and Suraj Randiv.Those two are twice as good as Rangana.

Didn't expect such a thread to come up, especially after Herath's efforts in getting Sri Lanka's maiden test victory in South Africa.

I with Anjula but Mendis is more of a T20 bowler than a test and Randiv seems to be losing his touch

I think Mendis has been kind of found out, in that he doesn't turn it big, so you can defend most deliveries and wait for the bad one, whereas in ODIs, T20Is etc, you have to attack him always, which is why he works so well.

Randiv is a work in progress though, isn't he? I imagine he'll get the gig of second spinner when they're at home.

Randiv has played only 6 test matches and 28 odis, yes he hasn't been very impressive but how could he be losing his touch?
